I’m 19 and have a crush on a ~32 year old co-worker. At first I thought it was more of a “he’s in the same vicinity of me and he looks nice” casual crush but about a few months ago he just randomly started talking to me out of the blue.

He’s very charming, funny and a bit of a goof-ball, he would tease me a lot about the shoes I wore (cause I always wore mary-janes or flats) but he recently stopped doing so cause apparently he didn’t want me thinking he was making fun of me. I gave no indication I was uncomfortable with his teasings but he double-downed on his apology, because I don’t have even talk to men often his apology felt really heart-felt and honestly just made my crush worse. We still talk sometimes now, but my schedule barely overlaps with his.

The thing is I can’t gauge at all that he likes me, I act kinda retarded around him and I’m worried I’m too obvious about it, but he doesn’t seem to avoid me or anything. He talks to everyone and additionally he’s really liberal leaning so I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought a 13 year age gap was “creepy” or whatnot. I want to shoot my shot but I also don’t want to make him uncomfortable
