I just had a meeting with a psychiatrist who said I am at risk of being violent. A year ago I was suffering from delusions of persecution and I made threats against my father but I have never in my life laid my hands on anyone before. What can I say to clear things up I said I had never acted on my threats and she ignored me and changed the subject.
>>35025507if you are not at risk of commiting violence you are not paying attention.
>>35025507She’s not saying you were violent in the past, she is saying that she thinks you MIGHT do it in the future. Thats what “at risk” is all about. If you want to clear things up then you should address the part about your present intentions. Emphasize that you do not actually spend large amounts of time, or really any amount of time thinking about hurting anyone and that you would not because it is against your principles. If you actually have told her about violent fantasies, then she might be right about “at risk”. that doesn’t mean you did or will, it just means your substantially more likely to have such an incident than the average person. Also you are on thin ice with regard to getting committed.
theory: therapy is just a matrix sponsored woman agent trying to extract information from a troublesome male, trying to castrate them and at worst, spot and prevent violent/antisocial behaviour before it happens. 80% of therapists are women so this theory checks out, the nature of therapy selects for a woman.when i envision a roided baldcel in the therapy room, i see the woman therapist trying to convince him to stop roiding and get SSRIs to cope bald oofdoof life.but it only works for people willing to castrate themselves even more than they already are. usually it would’ve been a wife to temper a man against criminal/antisocial behaviour but oofy pays $100/hr to get a woman to nag him like it’s his mother.you get what you deserve
>>35025507thats a shit therapist. i mean its a woman, shes a dipshit. you need to stop going.
>>35025507I'd be careful here. Don't let her just change the subject. You can calmly, respectfully but firmly tell her "no, I want to just talk about that point you made just now" and ask her to clarify. Unfortunately the opportunity has passed but next session tell her that you want to revisit that part of the discussion. Ask her what she means. Get a clear picture of her exact meaning and if you disagree tell her that. In plain words "I'm sorry but I disagree. I don't believe myself to be at risk of violence" and then explain why. A therapist is supposed to work WITH you not against you so don't let this turn into a psych evaluation instead of treatment. Also if she gives you an honest, clear reason as to why she's come to that conclusion don't just argue. Sit with it. Think about it. Does she make sense? If after thinking about it push back but remember to do it carefully and calmly otherwise you'll just prove her point and maybe even scare her which will be a disaster.
>>35025507What a shit psychiatrist. If no you've not been violent in the past, then she shouldn't be saying such bullshit. Report her and watch her squirm.
>>35025507>What can I say to clear things upAsk her to clarify why she thinks that. And explain it the way you have to use: you made some threats a year ago, but even then you had no actual intention of carrying them out, and you no longer feel the same you did then, so you don't make empty threats any more.
