How do I quit pot if every day that I don’t smoke my head fills up with unbearable cringe memories and time freezes to a standstill…I genuinely hate sobriety so much because of how painful life is…

You are probably only so down on sobriety because you’re addicted to a drug that pleases your brain to at least some degree which makes you feel not sober. You don’t really get to comment on how good sobriety actually is unless you’ve been sober for a month or so. Maybe 2 weeks if you decide sobriety is fine that fast, which a lot of people do.
Taper off over a week because you’ve probably really fucked yourself with heavy use and then stay sober for a month. that’s 5 weeks which might suck but that’s literally all it is. 2 years from now you’d look back and think “yeah november of 2026 sucked i guess” if you even remember it at all. If you still don’t like being sober at the end of that time you can just go back to the pot. Your tolerance will be much lower anyway.

Sounds like you're dealing with PTSD. Get diagnosed and find a medical cannabis prescriber that's willing to prescribe for that, assuming you live somewhere where that's an option.

same so i try to low dose as much as possible, down to one bowl a day
sober life is just unbearable

Everything you said is true, will try thx

I probably am from all the bullying I went through and then the trauma of becoming an actual incel later on top of that, how does that not fuck up someone for life?

>>35026964
It becomes unbearable, and the worst part is feeling humiliated by circumstance, disability, mental illness, whatever, everything that piles up that all you wanna do is escape even deeper, continuing the spiral

Oh my ass, cry more loser.
Just STOP being a fag. Stop smoking, start working out, and get good at something besides a video game.

Holy shit

>how does that not fuck up someone for life?
>for life

People have gone through way worse and turned out fine. Get over it. If your biggest woe is being incel then you haven't actually been through that much and also, un-incelling yourself is highly attainable. Stop being a coward. Stop smoking your life away and start de-incelling urself. Bully your bullies.

Is it really sobriety that you hate, or is it withdrawal symptoms?
>>
>>35026640
Handling that now.
Knowing the withdrawal day milestones helps.

You've already hit on the main point.
Just taking it away without replacing it with anything is not going to work.

It's serving a function for you.

You learn to live without this stuff by slowly adding stuff worth living for instead.

What is common to see:
> People feel horrible.
> Weed reduces anxiety and emotion.
> People rip out the coping system.
> That temporarily relieves their shame of using.
> System they used to cope is no longer there.
> Suppressed negative emotions return.
> They use weed in a panic to relieve these feelings.
> Shame intensifies from using again.
This is a reinforcing emotional cycle.

You may also be misattributing what you're feeling.
Coming down off weed makes you anxious.
It's a natural part of the effect.
> Weed is an anxiolytic substance.
> Suppresses anxiety.
> When a drug wears off, it does the opposite of its active effect.
> Weed wearing off makes you anxious.
What comes up must go down.

You're not feeling cringe because you're legitimately bad.
You're feeling that way because of chemical reactions in your brain.

Day 3 it gets better.
Week in you'll find you have more energy.
Things won't feel so difficult to do.

It's those first 3 days tho.
That's the real bitch.

Find an intricate hobby to do that requires your full attention. Treat smoking weed like one of those responsibilities you constantly procrastinate on, procrastination is the greatest strength of stoners. Use it to your advantage. Its only hard for me to stop smoking when my friends tempt me or if ive been doing it everyday, shit makes me really anxious but I woulf still smoke constantly.

Agreed, there is a lot of bitter people on this board who are absolute cockheads aboit giving advice.

Start meditating and learn about the chakras. It will help you understand how these cringe memories are impacting your subconscious and making life difficult to live sober.

There is nothing better in this world right now than weed, vidya and shitposting.

Okay, two things to say, here. The first is that if you're a heavy cannabis user, the withdrawal symptoms can be surprisingly brutal, and last a surprisingly long time. My girlfriend quit cannabis recently. The initial physical symptoms - feeling sick, not being able to sleep - only lasted a few days, but then she went through a phrase of getting very anxious, and then a third, longer phase of being constantly angry. It took at least three or four weeks for her to get anywhere near stable, and in some rather subtle ways she's still improving a couple of months later. So, some of what you're feeling when you don't smoke may be withdrawal; and that will, eventually, go away

The other thing to say is I'm sure your life does suck, but constantly getting high is going to stop you from doing anything to make your life suck less. It's only after you come off the weed that you'll have enough energy and motivation to fix anything.

>>35026640 those thoughts still come with marijuana, anyway. you need to meditate, with a focus on breathing.
