Unfortunate enough to be a bong and our government is retarded enough to demand every website age ID users.4chan appropriately told them to fuck off and UK regulator OFCOM has been unable to collect any fines. But we're now realistically looking at 4chan getting blocked here.I frequent the video game related boards; it's silly but here gives me a sense of belonging; I love getting to talk about my passions with fellow autsits. Not like shitty Reddit where you can't speak your mind less someone checks your post history.I know that VPNS, DNS, etc can help me bypass such things, but 4chan prevents VPN users from posting; I don't just wanna watch. I'm kinda bummed out about it. Amy advice or how to prepare encase this comes to pass?
I'm a brit also and I already accepted it that time when the site went down last year. Honestly it felt freeing coz the good stuff on this site is few and far between and it essentially become like doom scrolling for me
>every websiteNo.
>>35027819Alright fine, it's:>Every website that hosts user content that could be adult/ not suited for kids. It's not just porn websites but also things like Reddit, twitter and of course here.
>>35027786>But we're now realistically looking at 4chan getting blocked here.It takes no time to implement a DNS block, as they have done for numerous sites before.I reckon someone had a word in Ofcom's ear about the true reason this site still exists and has its Cloudflare fees paid each month.
>>35028119Pretty sure they have to request it first and (it will most likely given all the pearl clutchers got us in this position) be approved by court. Not that it's a hard thing to do (or bypass) but rather they haven't purused it yet for 4chan as they go for fines first, which has clearly failed.
