I invited a collegue newfriend over for coffee. He immediately "flavors it up" from a flask he pulls from his jacket. A nontrivial amount. He drove. The invite was just for 45 mins or so. What should I do? At the very least, defriend?
>>35028911>At the very least, defriend? It depends how much he's adding. If it's 25ml or so, that's not going to do any practical damage. If it's 100ml then that's putting other people's lives in danger.
>>35028911chill out. everyone doesnt need to be your best friend. slot him in the party animal soft criminal crowd and keep the bridge passable. never know when it might benefit you.
>>35028911Relax nigga. Unless he's a loser who's gonna steal from you or whatever he's probably a chill dude. America has demonized alcohol use to a level that shouldn't exist. Kids in Europe can go to a bar after grade school and have a drink or two. In America we tell kids it's Satan juice so they overcompensate by getting super fucked up. Daily drinking in moderation is not a big deal at all and extremely routine in many countries.
>>35029060NTA, but this isn't about drinking, it's about drinking when he's about to get behind the wheel of a car.
>>35028911What's "non trivial"? Without knowing whether he's an alcoholic who does that every day or not we have no real way of knowing how it affected him.
>>35029487this is why i drink while driving. effects dont hit me until im at my destination
>>35029487Don't get in his car
>>35028911He drank because he wanted to chill and hang out with you without reservations, anon. You should have also let loose and hung out with him for more than 45min.You don't drink with just anyone, because youThere are people you can drink with, and there are people whom you cannot drink with, because you have reservations. He thought you were closer, and your invitation was not just a formality. You should try to salvage this.
