long post sorryanywayi had a doctors appointment yesterday (i'm in the UK not the USA) and and i'm really worried about my skull and my doctor checked it and said "oh i think it's just the joint in the back of your head and all of the stress you've been having" i have been under a lot of stress (i'd say an extreme amount over the past month) but i don't think she was thorough enough (obviously not a specialist either)i can feel dents in my head and they're not symmetrical and my scalp is tender i'd describe them but it would make the post longer than it already is and noone here is a doctor anyway there are other factors thoughmy eating and drinking is terrible and when i do drink it's usually cola and i do not sleep at all, i stay awake until reality crashes into me and i have a panic attack and collapse in my bed i am also completely sedentary unless i have to go outsideanyway basically i have a history of head injury (not abuse just accidents) aside from said accidents i used to hit myself on the head and i am extremely worriedi can't remember how long ago it was (i have no memory right now just flashes) but it was very consistent and i was hitting myself very hard what i want to ask is how do i convince the doctor there's something wrong with me i know i have most likely done SOME damage to my skull however minor and even if there's nothing wrong worrying about it causes me a lot of stress and a negative scan result would stop thati don't want to worry about being brain damaged anymorei don't want to wait and maybe become worse and warrant an emergency scan but i don't really know what to do, i also don't want to go back to the doctor so sooni don't want to ask 4chan questions but i don't have any other place to ask itthere's definitely things i'm forgetting but oh wellthanks anyway >picrel me soon maybe (hope not)
>>35030550If you had any sort of actual brain damage, you'd be at the ER already. Undetected brain damage isn't a thing, since its the most vital organ of your body, and hitting your head hard enough to affect the brain requires extreme force. If your skull was damaged in any way, your doc would have felt it, no scan required. You may note it consists of bone, and bones don't break without notice. Damaging your skull is a major emergency, not something that happens casualy without notice. You are being a hypochondriac , and knowing your type you will simply find the next thing after the scan got done.
>>35030550>>35030814Also, just go to another doctor and get a second opinion if you feel uneasy. thats the generally recommended course of action. Doctors can some times fuck up, but two in a row is highly unlikely.
>>35030814>You may note it consists of bone, and bones don't break without noticeIf OP lives on cola and never goes outside he quite likely has a severe Vitamin D and Calcium deficiency, which could be making his bones a lot more fragile than usual, and is probably also affecting his mood.>>35030550OP, why not go back to your doctor and ask if you can have some blood tests done to check for as many vitamin and mineral deficiencies as possible, particularly calcium and vitamin D? Also, did you actually tell your doctor that you used to hit yourself in the head?
>>35030550Nothing further will happen to skull bones as time progresses. Whatever damage is done. Fake a tumour if you want attention. Look up some symptoms. Maybe you have one.
>>35030550>>35031052* if your skull is changing shape, are full grown and not taking steroids, you do have a tumour.
