My father gifted me a trail camera for christmas, so now I also have all sorts of cool hedgehogs clips.Turns out they usually fight when they spot each other. They remind me of little autistic sumo wrestlers, they try to flip their opponent so it will ball up and lose the fight; it stays balled up upside down like a loser for a while.Check this out.

Some time ago I spotted a "new" kind of tick.On hedgies they're usually either white or grey, with the occasional black make. Well, I assume they're male because they never feed despite being adults: the roam around on the hedgehogs and attach to females. Now for something more pleasant, I managed to capture the start of the hedgehogs' courtship ritual.The male will slowly circle the female, lightly brushing against it, while huffing/panting loudly (you can hear it 20m away). The female will rotate to keep facing the male. The circling can last half an hour or more. At some point, the female will stop facing the male and keep their spikes relaxed.The male will then get behind and initiate hedgie intercourse.The ritual can fail at any time, and the female will simply run away. Turns out the postal service has been more efficient than usual.On the last try with an orb, I tried multiple layers since the ticks end up floating. Some layers didn't cure right before I poured another layer, creating a weird mess. First layer has just been poured.I tried putting the ticks in the mold before pouring the resin to help them stay down, but it failed. Most of them will float... and will float back if I push them down. The bubbles should go away when it's curing.

I would have to wipe hundreds of ticks dry after taking them out, clear coat one side, flip each tick around, clear coat the other side, etc. Plus they didn't degrade at all after a year.
