Not absurd, but imagine a 20 foot predatory octopus that can fit anywhere its beak could, existing in the blue hole cave ecosystem and avoiding anoxic water by going to the blue holes to breathe. I now believe in Bigfoot due to David Paulides bigfoot DNA study. It is on YT and is highly worth a watch. His findings revealed human mother/unknown father.Then you have all of the Native American cultures with names for bigfoot and stories regarding them. Scott Carpenter (Into the 400) investigates a very compelling piece of property where he obtains long trackways due to a muddy flat where the bigfeet traverse to harvest mussels. Anyways, my point is that to discount bigfoot you have to assume that all of these cultures, both ancient and current day are lying. As well as discount all of the footprint evidence that is currently being collected.

It looks like it has a lot of connective tissue so I’d lean more towards squid. Even if there is an unknown giant octopus I doubt it would be behind the blue hole disappearances. Giant octopus are very docile unlike squid and when they do attack something they don’t drag it into the deep at light speed

It is actually Shane Carpenter and he made a documentary called Into the 400 about a private piece of 400 acre property he has had access to for years now. Basic story is that the owner was cutting down trees and started having some negative sightings of bigfoot. Shane came in and told him to stop logging property and started investigating. The muddy area has allowed him to consistently cast footprints, identify individuals and track their growth. What is interesting is that juvenile bigfoot footprints look essentially human until they age and spread out. Which mirrors what happens in Tarahumara Indians (the ones that run marathons in huaraches). Here he is talking about the 400 if anyone is interested. I really like this guy.
