Jaguars are the favorite animal of Mexicans, so I'm not surprised this is a very brown-coded thread.

I just didn't bother changing the file name.

>During the Pleistocene, Jaguars interacted with all sorts of Megafauna
>Almost every large mammal that lived in the Jaguar's range in South and Central America was exterminated thousands of years ago
>Nearly all of the remaining Megafauna (bison, elk, moose, grizzly bears, etc.) no longer overlap with Jaguars due to human activity reducing their ranges
It's a shame we don't get to see how Jaguars interacted with other large mammals. I guess there are horses and cows within their current range, but I don't think I've ever seen a photo or video of a Jaguar trying to kill one of those.

In fact, one of the main reasons for hunting jaguars is that they kill farmers' livestock (farmers who refuse to build fences).
>>
>>5127656
you have any idea what kind of fence you need to jaguarproof a cow pasture and what that would cost for say, 20 hectares?
>>
>>5127852
They should have thought about that before buying hectares in jaguar territory!
