Hello,
I am in 9b usa climate and my tree is dying. the tree is on a hill so i have attempted to reverse the gradient to increase water absorption, but i want to leave a full ice chest melting next to it.
do you think the temperature shock could hurt a lemon eucalyptus and/or a pepper tree?

Nah. An ice chest is a good insulator. It actually might make the spot a bit wetter too with condensation.

i think he wants to slowly release water, melting ice is good and cheap to do that without drip pipes or whatever
