I keep food and water out for a bunch of birds, but lately some blackbird has apparently gotten the impression that this is some kind of free daycare. In the morning I spot an adult and a juvenile, then the adult fucks off and the little guy just NEETS around all day, either sitting in the shade, hopping around a bit, taking a bath or eating. In the evening the adult shows up again and they disappear. There's no fighting with other passing birds (who also bring their kids), but I don't know if this is good long-term.
>>5131766Lmao. Free pet bird? Probably not ideal situation.
you should kick him out if he stays more than a week
he's literally me
>>5131766put out a tip jar, and collect from it at regular times while the parents are around leaving a bit inside. empty the jar a few times and stop feeding. continue feeding when you leave tips in the tip jar. soon they may get the message.
It's a fucking fledgeling. Leave it be. The adult is making sure it's ok. It's watching over it. Jesus Christ.
>>5131766There's a reason it's called a black bird
>>5131883That's not a fledgeling it's a NEET in training.
>>5131766You don’t do shit wagie.
>>5131931>That's not a fledgeling it's a NEET in traininglel
I skipped putting out food today and a bunch of tits gathered in the bush nearby and started complaining, likely a bunch of juveniles and a stressed adult (m)
