>crows considered extremely intelligent
>shit and piss themselves and cry in terror when they see this

You say that like every horror game that came out in the last decade isn't full of mannequins.
>>
>>5133974
don't they have the intelligence of a 6 year old or something? If you have a bunch of six year olds, a giant monster puppet could be something they'd be scared of if they have nothing else to go by and are own their own to figure out how to act and approach the situation

Actually crows aren't really "scared" of scarecrows per se, they just are unsure of them. In time we learn that the scarecrow isn't an actual person in the field and so the effectiveness wears off. Changing clothes can confuse the crows in the short term but you'll need to move it around the field as well to complete the illusion. Best time is at night so we don't see you moving it.

A crow beak typed this post.

why the fuck would it be called a "scarecrow" if crows weren't FUCKING TERRIFIED of it? like this object is so infamous for its ability to terrorize corvids that it gained the name.
Is there any other example of this in the world? Is there a Scarebug, or a Scaremouse, or a Scarebeaver? NO.

One of these must have destroyed their entire civilization in the days of yore. They devolved but remain adapted to the cities, hence why they flock to them. Especially because the rural areas are full of horrific scarecrows.

There's a deerscare
Lot of fruit orchards have a scare everything type of automated blank firing guns or propane cannon. You got pigeon scares which are just imitation owls that move sometimes. Another kind of birdscare is those big eye lanterns or orbs. Birds in general are more visual based mammal deterrents are usually smell based.

They have those weird plastic bottles to scare cats in Japan. The abstract shapes from the water shimmering is supposed to upset and confuse the cats but I don’t think it really works
