Saw a couple of wood pigeons shagging in my tree earlier. But there was a third one standing on the fence just watching. Like he was in the bird equivalent of the cuck chair.

Is this normal or do I have especially kinky pigeons?

I'm not an ornithologist, but I have noticed that doves often travel in threes. I don't know if that's like their kid from a previous year or something but I see it a lot.
