Calves in the dairy industry are separated from their mothers immediately after being born. This makes it easier for farmers to collect milk. Male calves are killed within weeks and female calves are kept in hutches so small they can barely move.
>>5136447sorry but it is absolutely necessary to slaughter 100s of millions of livestock a year so amerifats can shove a dog/cat in a cage for 12 hours straight while they work at walmart
>oh no, they hurt a cows feelings, i think. maybe. we’re not sure if the cow even has real feelings or just instincts that look like them. So what? Buy from a farmer that doesn’t whiny fag. moralizing over livestock is telescope philantropy at its most useless, degenerate and pseudointellectualim sure you will now claim to be saving the world with strict adhesion to an arbitrary and retarded ideology
>>5136448>people i dont like exist in my imagination. billions must starve. Nice 20th century dictator LARP
>>5136447Clever, isn't it?
>>5136447Hindu threadCows are such worthless and pathetic animals its hard to care what happens to them. I have seen farmers kill them in the middle of the field and the rest of the herd watches. They don’t fight back and if he keeps it quiet they don’t run either. You like to imagine these dairy cows undergo deep emotional trauma but its probably just automated offspring defense instincts that evolved before complex emotions and share the same outward signaling (meant to warn the rest of the herd). Even insects try to stay near offspring and make noises over it if they’re a species that evolved to. If any animal is just a decently advanced automaton, a walking p-zombie robotically fulfilling functions you intuit as requiring consciousness (but dont require it at all), its the cow. Chickens too, but, chickens are cannibals so its hard to say if they’re NPCs or atomized psychopaths in a flock of convenience, a union of feathered egoists.

Listen here OP, I get it. Cows are cute and go moo, not many animals like that. They have a dumb, lumbering charm. In an ideal world, I'd be with ya, but we're not. I am only exagerating a tad when I say my diet is 90% Rotini, Gemelli and some good sauce to go with it. Can't beat homemade bread either for that matter. I could be a vegitarian today if I wanted to, but I'm not. You know why? Good fucking cheese, that's why.I want my Mozzarella and my Gorgonzola. I want whole milk in my coffee and tea when chasing down a nice Ciabatta slice with Mascapone spread. You know what's good in soup that ain't red wine? Cream. Now if that means a calf is not gonna get a tit to suck that's just how the world works. Sucks to be you, but I ain't you little cow. I'm a 25 year old with house loan to pay off, it's not my fucking problem.

>>5136450>we
>>5136447>Male calves are killed within weeksAnd the few that aren't for breeding purposes often become very dangerous animals relative to their beef industry peers. Due to having been raised by humans they do not distinguish between people and cows.t. rancher
in some farms. Other farms don't do this.

>>5136590>I could be a vegitarian today if I wanted to, but I'm not. You know why? Good fucking cheese, that's why.not op, but you could always do "vegetarian, but cheese". Whatever your reason for vegetarian may be, surely it's still a net positive to be veg with one exception. The only reason not to is if you take pride in the label, or are doing it mostly to tell people that you're a vegetarian. It doesn't sound like this is something you're actually interested in though lol. I'm not vegetarian either but I've got a lot of friends who are
>>5136590Cheese is vegetarian. Vegetarians just skip the actual meat but consume dairy and eggs. You're thinking of vegans
>>5136447This is why I eat beans
>>5136792When I was shopping at King Soopers last week, the section with plant-based cheese was labeled “VEGETARIAN”. Vegans don’t want anything that isn’t a plant to be considered vegetarian.
