Post birds, appreciate birds
I'm trying to befriend some ravens by giving them water. I'm hesitant to leave out food due to rat problems, but regardless, I've been leaving out water for a few weeks now and have never seen them come drink it. I hear them cawing more around my house lately, and I try to let them know with a clear signal whenever I change their water. Am I on the right track here, or do I need to look into doing things differently?
How the fuck do i get rid of whatever this abomination of bird is. Its right next to my window and i need to genocide every single one of these things until its extinct. I love when birds have beautiful calls and songs, but this is like the young thug mumble rap "song" of birds. Absolutely obnoxious and enraginghttps://files.catbox.moe/rqdxf3.m4a
>>5138274According to a birdcall analyser is a gray catbird.I guess it's around breeding, so small birds like that are always going to be noisy wherever they decide to set up camp.
Indigo Bunting
Prairie Warbler
>>5138274It's a Gray Catbird. Leave it alone and stop being a dick. They are beautiful birds
This might be a weird question, but does anyone have experience with flying drones over ducks? We have a local lake here with a shit ton of ducks, I wanted to take some videos of it, but I don't know how far above them I should fly. They seem pretty undisturbed by humans since they let you walk right up to them and I heard the local authorities use drones for something in the area.
>>5138274Get a plastic/ceramic owl statue from a garden center and set it out. Sometimes even just a picture will do. At my last job I had a live oak over my window, and a family of cardinals roosted there every year, and I'd get to enjoy several months of the male cardinal going ape shit and knocking himself unconscious attacking the reflection in the glass. Eventually I printed out a picture of an owl, and taped it to the glass outside, and he would give up for a while. You need to move it around every couple of days so they don't get used to it as a static object but most animals will see the shape of an owl and decide to go somewhere else.

My cat brought me 2 black redstart nestlings back to back, completely unharmedNow I have two redstartsThey're really cool and friendlyI know I'll soon have to free them as they're getting quite good at flying, but I'm sad
>>5138826Make sure to keep your cat away from the cage. The stress of a predator nearby can kill captive wildlife.
The Australian brushturkey makes massive mounds, like a baseball mound.>The male Australian bush turkey builds a large mound of leaves, twigs, and earth, up to 1.5 metres high and 4 metres across, to incubate eggs laid by visiting females.

>>5137869Is this guy gunna make it? I was just out canoeing and I saw him flapping around in the water, plucked him out, seems like he's missing quite a bit of feathers neck side of his body. He was too tired to do anything but shake and shiver. I left him out on the lawn with the geese but I assume he's sick or old or something. Saved some drowning retard seagull last week he had this leg stuck in those wire cages around rocks.
