There’s something called the Strong Self Sampling Assumption that says that you can think about your place in the universe as being being randomly selected from all observer-moments that exist. So basically I should expect to find myself as an “average” observer. Since there are a lot more animals than humans, I would almost certainly expect to find myself as a non-human animal rather than a human. Yet I don’t, and here I am observing reality through a human body. This might also be evidence that most humans aren’t sentient.
