For some reason, decent dogs have been extremely rare on Craigslist and at the shelters in my area since around the beginning of the year. I don't see the trend reversing and I think it's sad that anyone would have to settle for a pit mutt, so I want to start mass breeding to improve my local gene pool.The problem is that the kinds of breeds that I like (e.g. GSD, ACD, husky), I don't think are suitable for the average person in my region (gulf south, anyone smart enough to leave does). I've watched a ton of videos on dog training and have a pretty good grasp on training a dog, but what happens if you live with other people and they're way more lenient and tolerating bad behavior? if I'm rewarding the dog when it does good, but somebody else is giving the dog rewards for nothing all the time, doesn't that strip power away from me? How could a dog ever respect me when it could just ignore me and walk all over everybody else in the house?
