For some reason, decent dogs have been extremely rare on Craigslist and at the shelters in my area since around the beginning of the year. I don't see the trend reversing and I think it's sad that anyone would have to settle for a pit mutt, so I want to start mass breeding to improve my local gene pool.

The problem is that the kinds of breeds that I like (e.g. GSD, ACD, husky), I don't think are suitable for the average person in my region (gulf south, anyone smart enough to leave does). I'm thinking about maybe labs because they're pretty much the default dog. I don't really like them though. Any ideas?

For skunk spray? The trick with skunk spray is to wash it off within 45 minutes of getting sprayed or the spray bonds to hair and you basically can't wash it off.

Use hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, and baking soda. Apply and let sit for 15 minutes then rinse off. Worked perfectly the one time I had to do.

You most likely need antibiotics. Check the dogs temp to see how elevated it is.
You can get antibiotics without prescription through aquarium supply stores(online or brick and mortar) you just need to get the dose correct. Weigh your dog to establish correct dose. You can hold them and weigh yourself + them on a bathroom scale then weigh just yourself and take the difference.

Amazon has next day delivery for amoxicillin tablets in my area. Just search for fish amoxicillin and you'll see the tablets.

How do I exercise a dog, guys? I'm a hikkomore and I don't like going outside. I've had this dog for 2 months and she's done wonders for me. I've been going outside many times every day to take her out to go potty. I thought that indoor fetch would be "good enough", but I think she needs more. Saw an exceptionally cute samoyed at the farmers market today, but I also saw a border collie on a gentle leader. A guy yanking his dog around on a martingale and a well toned malinois behaving perfectly on a standard collar.

Thought I was going to get some good pics of chili playing in the surf of lake Michigan. She had other ideas because she wanted nothing to do with that water. She would walk up to it, sit in the sand next to me, but did not let it touch her paws. Even after a 2 mile run on the trails the most she would do is dig a hole and lay in the cool sand, just out of reach of the lapping waves.
Not surprised, she's quite prissy.

There's accessories available just for this issue, however some people take issue with them such as prong collars.
I always start with choking up on the leash, leaving the dog to stay right next to me, and apply pressure upwards instead of horizontal when they start to pull. Be gentle, no sense yanking on them like a gorilla. Walk the dog like this on a very short lead, applying upward pressure, start and stop a lot, each time making sure they do the same. Do this several times and don't give up. Always use a verbal command to tell them to stop pulling. This may take several times before the dog understands, depending on the breed.
After a month or so of this conditioning if the dog continues pulling you may have to pursue a different avenue. I've used Gentle leaders with success if all else fails.

Anyway, Biscuit's sister had her DNA tested and while obviously percentages will vary greatly between littermates, the top breeds came down to:

So I'd guess dad is half Poodle, half Maltese/Shih Tzu while mum is a predominantly Border Collie 'general Aussie farm dog' mix. It was kind of surprising but now I see any photo of a "Bordoodle" online and they're all just palette-swapped versions of him.
