This is my cat, Kitty. Sadly, she passed away three years ago. Why am I sharing this? Because I wanted to release this feeling of guilt and grief. At the time, I was going through a period of depression, which I still struggle with today. She came into my life at the end of 2020 and changed everything. She was my emotional support animal, and whenever I felt down, she was there for me. In June 2023, at 5 a.m., I think, a dog attacked her, breaking her spine in three places. We had to put her down; it was that or seeing her disabled for the rest of her life. To this day, it still hurts, but now we have two kittens who have kept me going. Believe me, I tried several times to join her. Thanks to my two current cats, I didn't. But Kitty will always live in my heart.
