Yes! There's a guy in my town that has two Bactrian (two hump) camels, a mama and its baby. He leads them around town with halters and lets people pet them. Bactrian camels are native to Mongolia so they can tolerate hot and cold weather and do pretty well in North America. They're cool animals but are a little intimidating because they are fucking huge and will let you know with growls and grunts when they get annoyed.
