I have a lot of trees I love. But if I had to say one, it’d be the Eastern White Pine.

Here is one that was 6-7 feet across at the base.

it's like a paletteswapped cherry blossom in that all the yellow is just its flowers; the bark and leaves are green
the photosynthetic bark's basically the same desert adaptation that makes cacti green

Cope and seethe.

Enhiesto surtidor de sombra y sueño
que acongojas el cielo con tu lanza.
Chorro que a las estrellas casi alcanza
devanado a sí mismo en loco empeño.

Mástil de soledad, prodigio isleño;
flecha de fe, saeta de esperanza.
Hoy llegó a ti, riberas del Arlanza
peregrina al azar, mi alma sin dueño.

Cuando te vi señero, dulce, firme,
qué ansiedades sentí de diluirme
y ascender como tú, vuelto en cristales.

Como tú, negra torre de arduos filos,
ejemplo de delirios verticales,
mudo ciprés en el fervor de Silos.

I like the baobab tree because it's an absolute monstrosity of a plant.
>immune to drought, can go store water and go without rain for several years
>can live three thousand years
>fruit pulp, bark, seeds, leaves can be ground into powder to make medicines/food

Agree with this. I was on a hike in Utah and came across this Aspen grove. Went in and sat on a fallen tree for a bit. It was amazing. (Pic related)

Blossoms smell great too, so I like these as well. One is in our yard and it was the first time in 30 years that it bloomed so much.
