What species should we bring with us when we colonize space?
>>5157225wolves. space wolves.
Mediterranean, desert, and alpine species would be good since water is a limited resource and I doubt you want the inside of your space habs to be humid.
Simps
all the insects you cam fit. and arachnids
>>5157225Cats
>>5157225Just one group of each type of animal. The most normal kind. So for a bird it should be pigeons, big cats would be lions, etc. Then let them speciate and see what results.
We will never colonize space. I doubt people will land on the moon again.
>>5157296This is going to age really poorly when pajeets and the Chinese get there in a decade.
>>5157225Ticks, blackflies, and chiggersSome honest earth critters ought to prevent those space fellas from getting any loony ideas about being the next step in human evolution or some such nonsense
no jews or blacks
>>5157323i can see the chinese doing it successfully, but jeets?>saar houston we are having the problem!!>bloody bastard benchod we checked each and every thing there is being no problem!>faint brown cloud appears on moon's surface
>>5157225mosquitos
>>5157286lions are absolutely not the most normal big cats.
>>5157225plants so we can farm with aeroponics
I think Chinese yams and other members of Dioscorea should be considered for space travel. They produce potato like bubils on the vine. Sweet potatoes would be another good crop because you can eat the young leaves and roots.
How do we solve the problem of gravity? It's becoming increasingly clear from research on space travel that the human body isn't really meant to handle gravity variations from Earth's in the long-term and that probably goes for most organisms.
>>5157386Yes they are they don't have any special powers or abilities. Literally, just big cats. Leopards can carry elands up trees, jaguars have special skull crushing fangs, cheetahs are super fast, even mountain lions live in the mountains and whistle at you. Regular lions just crawl around in the grass roaring and sometimes they get a wildebeest.
>>5157405We have only tested Earth and near zero gravity. We need Lunar, Martian, and spinning habitats to see what we can really adapt to.
>>5157225Roaches and mosquitos.
Kiwi's. The bird, the fruit, and the people.
