>Those cool ancient monster dinosaurs you loved so much and played with, the ones that amazed you because they were killing machines? Well Chud, it turns out they were just giant chickens. Ha. Your worldview shattered again. You'll have nothing.
>>
If it's really how they were, fine. I just don't know why suddenly they need to be pride colored and have puffy cocksucking lips. It feels like only a couple of pervs dominate (heh) dinosaur depictions, and everyone goes along with it because if they don't the fuckable dinosaur cabal will fling shit with the fury of a thousand autistic suns.
>>
>>5159045
>The dinosaur pervs are behind the scientifically accurate reconstructions! They gave them such luscious lips... oh my god...
with all due respect how the fuck can anyone you call themselves a scaly if they like lips on dinosaurs, you sicko? that's furshit, son.

problem status: you
>>
None of you seething scalies can convince me that feathers inherently make dinosaurs less cool.
>>

This. The science is forever settled. Dinos had feathers. Anyone who disagrees is huffing weapons grade copium.

Dinosaurs are a myth invented by the Morgans and reckefellers to scam college grant money with fake paleontology programs. Fossils are real. All large "dinosaurs" are hoaxes. The same people who secretly discover dinosaurs are the same ones who make museum fakes.
>>
Carnivorefags btfo, Triceratops, Apatosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus is just as cool as they ever were
>>
birdfuckers and footfags are behind this. they ruin everything.

Well the theropods had feathers, which is fine, that's where chickens came from and one day they will remember and wake up.
>>
i'm covinced the mesozoic ecosystems really were monster hunter-tier levels of brutal, even more since in that game herbivores are pussyfied meat slabs while real herbivores are just as good at goring like carnivores do
modern nature is already brutal as fuck, so imagine what a biosphere where megafauna was routinely van-sized and often exceeding, with everything having tooth, spikes and all sorts of weaponry, and all of them having the opportunistic mind of a bird/reptile would be like. paleoautists can't even imagine that in the safety of their rooms drawing silly gay little dinosaurs to cope with their mental illnesses and personal failures

He's very obviously talking about the background monsters that don't do shit
>>
>>5159887
I find the whole "dinosaurs weren't violent" thing so funny because the fossil record shows things like tyrannosaurs routinely biting the shit out of each other's faces
>>
>>5159042
I don't get the point of this thread since the hypothetical 'jak clearly set out to make you seethe and clearly succeeded because you ultimately made a thread about him.
>>
>>5159967
Not every herbivorous dinosaur was an armoured one either. Oviraptorids, ornithomimosaurs, pachycephalosaurs, smaller ornithopods etc don't really have any anti-predator adaptations beyond being able to run away and probably camouflage/r-selection.
>>
>>5159967
The carnivorous ones don't do shit either.
>>
>>5159042
The fact of the matter is we'll never know what dinosaurs truly looked like so why can't you just let me imagine that they were cool real life kaijus in peace?
>>
>>5159042
So what that birds are dinosaurs? They're related. Of course they share features. Anyone who suddenly hates dinosaurs because they're related to birds is a fucking retard. Yes, the two shared features to varying degrees. Just because they aren't Godzilla doesn't mean they aren't cool and fascinating animals in their own right.

I just want feather faggots to leave my Jurassic Slop alone. They are supposed to be movie monsters that roar and fight constantly. Everyone knows real dinosaurs slept sometimes and uhhhh exthuth me pteranadonth arent dinothaurth jesus christ fuck off to Prehistoric Kingdom already you spergs. They keep putting feathered dinosaurs in Jurassic Slop Evolution 3 and it looks retarded. Whole point of the franchise is they aren't actually dinosaurs they're biological theme park attractions. If some kid really cares about dinosaurs he can go read a book or watch Tier Zoo or something.
>>
what if feathers made them cooler
we dont even know
>>
>>5159968
All dinosaurs were dino-pot smoking hippies. Dinosaurs being violent is a lie perpetuated by the patriarchy.

i've always been an thyreophoridchad, particularly ankylosaurs but steggies are cool too
>tons of new discoveries
>huge species diversity, all kinds of spikes and clubs
>there was probably one with a massive tail battle axe or swords or some shit, just gotta find it
>ran from the jurassic to kpg
>multiple t-rex legbones found with fractures caused by ankylosaur clubs
theropods are boring by comparison. trapped in constant debates about whether it was an active hunter or scavenger, whether it had feathers etc. meanwhile we know exactly what thyreophorids ate, what they looked like, etc.
>>
Earth was created 6,000 years ago and dinosaurs were lies invented by the devil.

I think it's the opposite, it's cool that we know pretty much exactly what e.g. Borealopelta looked like but that also makes it a lot less interesting to think about.

I understand the sentiment behind wanting to convey dinosaurs as proper animals, and not just violent killing machines. But it's important to remember that even modern day animals can be fucking ruthless and terrifying.

Nobody on this god-forsaken earth is going to convince me that a ten ton tyrannosaurus rex - built like a brick shithouse, teeth the size of large bananas tyrannosaurus rex - was a scavenger.
