I this looks like something i heard about called bumblefoot that apparently doesn't get better on its own so it has to be drained.
Saw a friends pet duck limping and picked her up to look and she has this lump on her foot.
A small Yorkshire terrier attacked her a few months ago so she has a limp.

What do?
I heard people soak these to get them to open up and drain them or something but i don't know how to do it and the duck doesn't like to be handled too much.

Does this seem serious or not, i will probably show the picture to a few vets and ask if they treat ducks.
If it has to be cut open to be drained of puss or whatever then we need to keep it clean but place we live doesn't have a garden so the duck lives on a plot of land where a house is going to be built eventually

What do?

Have you considered eating the duck?
Doing this will save you vet costs and provides you a delicious meal!

No im trying to convince the person with the dogs that wont shut up at night that they should cook their dogs for the same reason they suggested eating the dog and if the duck is eaten first it undermines my argument.
I already told them their dogs are made of the same ingredients Chinese chicken chowmein and McDonald's chicken nuggets are made from

It looks like a cyst. If that's the case, a vet is the best option because even if you drain it yourself, it could swell up again if you don't remove the cyst wall. I mean, you could try to DIY it using cyst removal vids on YT but that's obviously not recommended.

Would be a bit worried about the duck stepping in something wet abd dirty if it needs surgery.
Is it likely to be a small incision to lance it or s big cut that takes a while to heal

For a cyst, it would be an incision because they have to get in there and cut out the cycst wall, or you risk it reforming. However, if you watch how they handle cysts in cattle hooves, you'd realize that the post op healing is much easier than the procedure itself. They spray their cleaned open sores with a special antibiotic spray and bandage up the hoof. The cow then proceeds to walk through literal shit mud, but chance of infection is low as long as they maintain the wound. Bodies are amazing at natural self-healing and with modern medical tech, that duck has a better chance at recovery than 99.9% of its ancestors. If you cannot afford a vet, do the surgery yourself or cannot maintain the wound after the surgery, then honestly, the best thing you can do is leave the poor thing be. From the animal's perspective, this may be the best option as it would avoid the equivalent of an alien abduction from the viewpoint of a human.

Probably gotta keep her in the house with a clean floor first day of recovery at least.
Hope its not too expensive.
Gotta check the vet actually will treat a duck before i bring her over.

I hope its not too expensive as I'm living in Latin America off UK NEETbux ATM

>Latin America
It will be cheap af compared to the vets in the UK/US.
