People say 'oh just get a new one'. Fucking idiots they dont understand.
>>
Sorry fren. She's in a better place now.

>people say
Don't listen to the normgroids they have no clue.
>>
Was she a good girl?
You gave her the best possible life OP. I have a theory as to why dogs live short in relation to humans: dog's lives are like 98% pure bliss. Human lives are like 10%. It's impossible in this universe to have more than 15~ years of bliss, hence the shorter lifespans.
In total she spent as much time being happy as you will in your life OP, except she didn't have to pay for it with unhappy times.
The sadness is about you, it's because you miss her. Her life was glorious.

>just get a new dog, just make a new kid
why are normies so repulsive?

“The poor little darling creature, scarcely three months old, had already, for me, individuality and character. She was just be-ginning to know me and love me, and always smiled when I came near. And now they tell me, to concole me, that I shall surely have other children. But where is Sonia? where is the little creature for whom I would, believe me, gladly have suffered death upon the cross, if she could have remained alive? "

seriously, why do domestic dogs live relatively so shortly?
>>
>>5170182
Fren, I hope you are hanging in there. Know that
>Your love for her is not past tense. It isn't "you loved her", it's "you love her"
>She loved you
>You are free to get a new one or refrain if you feel the need to grieve. Neither is wrong
>She is a very cute dog and I hope she's somewhere happy and content and waiting for you when you cross the boundary of life

I've had many pets. Naturally, they all eventually passed. I miss them all. Especially the two that most recently passed. I never knew I could love any petbso much. As if they were my actual children. They meant more to me than any human ever did. They were kind, loyal, and selfless. They always did their best to make me happy.

The first one that passed tried comforting me even as she lay there dying. She was very ill and just wanted me and my fiance by her side. She was so human in her behaviour it made me wonder if reincarnation could be real and maybe she was once human in a previous life.

The second one, she died while I was asleep. It happened so suddenly and unexpectedly. She was an amazing little one. So full of love and happiness.

I miss them both so much it hurts to breath sometimes, but I go on for their little brother. He is so much like them. Always loving, full of life. His heart is immense for someone so small. He's a clever and brave little ball of fluff. I hope he lives a long time.

Nah, you don't understand. You don't understand that there's somewhere another animal that needs your love. Like she did.
>>
>>5171360
I mean that people talk about the dog like if they were objects or a toy. They dont understand that they have like a personality and finding a dog that resonates with your soul is something that often just happens and you cant replace it with another one so easily.

I miss Pussy so fucking much.... :-(

Get a new one lol. My new one is vastly more retarded than my old one, and is very clumsy but it made the grieving process much easier having though laughs. Still miss the old one every day though.

those

>it made the grieving process much easier
for real? how do you avoid the inevitable comparison?
>>
>>5171458
>>5171529
It's never a matter of replacement. A (lesser, admittedly) portion of the pain is finding emptiness where once you had a target for your constant flow of care and affection. Redirecting that flow to another animal that needs it and building that resonance once more helps you out greatly, and in no way diminishes the relationship you had. Even just having another little guy who relies on you, to give you a reason to get up in the morning or go outside for pet food, does wonders.
