I believe these creatures may be more in touch with the divine order more than most animals.

Agreed. I like to think that they're aware, sapient beings given they have the biggest brains in the world with over double the amount neurons that we do (more than any other animal in fact, orcas included). I wish we could learn to communicate with them, they're very special.

In their forebrains I meant, sorry. Orcas already have double the amount compared to us, and sperm whale brains are even bigger still.

They can tell how dense you are.
Means their primary weapon the succ won't get much out of you. You're full of hard bit, they can't chew or digest and will have to puke up at some point.
They can tell we're too much work to eat beyond that who knows.

So how does it feel like being blasted by 220dB infrasound which is when converting it into "air values", around 130dB? Your inner ear shouldn't be damaged because the cells don't react to low sound but I guess it's a wild shaking anyway?

You can feel your body being heated by it is what free divers that have gotten close to them have said.

>I wish we could learn to communicate with them
I wonder how they'd react if we told them we call them sperm whales. Would they be offended?

Saw it coming way to early because you set up the expectation in the first line.
If you made a story about being a researcher using llms to decipher whale codas and having that feedback to small display made with a raspberry pi or something and the display read "bachelor" then the mother whale got between you and it's calf it would be legendary.

They fascinate me because many whales or their pods/clans must have living memory of industrialized whaling. They probably still remember the calls and songs they made to warn each other of an incoming whaling fleet and they must know we are responsible.
But they don't seem to have any antipathy or ill will towards us. Maybe the idea of seeking revenge is just a primate-brained way of thinking. It's easy for us to anthropomorphize great apes because we are so similar but cetaceans feel almost alien to me. I would be utterly fascinated to learn more about how they think and feel, for me it would be more interesting to learn how to communicate with cetaceans than to make contact with extraterrestrials.

You're thinking of bowhead whales sperm whales have a comparable life expectancy to humans.
>>

They eat and fuck with megamouth sharks which would be considerably more difficult to ingest than humans. They can almost certainly distinguish other marine mammals from fish and don't fuck with them unless they are predatory orcas. They probably see us in the water as weird hapless retard seals that used to hunt them but now stopped for some unexplained reason.

Commercial whaling of sperm whales went on up until 1985 and whaling them for heating oil only stopped in the mid 70s. The most intense targeting of sperm whales actually took place between the 1950s and 1980s during which time about 770,000 where hunted and slaughtered. It didn't just happen in Moby Dick times, the real Whale Holocaust certainly happened in living memory for them.

Megamouths are defenseless and have most of their bones really centralized around their pectoral fins head and spine. It's a lot of guts they can suck out so it's probably worth the trouble.
