Almost ALL theropods have only scales, if we have any information about their integument at all. And every single large theropod has ONLY scales except for the Proceratosaurids in China (shocking, I know). It's only a very small group that possibly has feathers and that group is almost exclusively found in china and mongolia (with attested feathers). Only two theropods in history outside of china have ever been found with feathers: Archaeopteryx and Ornithomimus. And I'm highly suspicious of the latter, since these feathers were only discovered well into the heyday of the death of science and the replication crisis. Everything else is base speculation, wild fantasizing and fraud. Any Ornithischians with feathers are either mistaken identity or outright fraud. Ornithischians do not have feathers. Not only that but we know that feathers are not an ancestral trait in dinosaurs because the earliest dinosaurs have dorsal osteoderms, something that doesn't exactly go well with feathers. There's also a reason to doubt whether pterosaurs had pycnofibers either. And pterosaurs are absolutely not archosaurs. They have far too many divergent anatomical differences. Wrong teeth, wrong cervical vertebral count, possibly wrong manual claw count, no mandibular fenestra (though many authors have tried to hallucinate one in shattered jaws).

I did not know this. I still prefer to think of dinosaurs as fluffy birdies though.
