>>952537816My cousin is one. He's thirty years old after doing ten years in prison and his life is basically over. He's also pretty noticeably disabled. He couldn't get a job before and he sure as hell can't get one now, so he can't support himself financially. He can't live anywhere populated, either. When he got out of prison his dad retired, sold his house and moved them both out to basically the middle of nowhere outside of LA. Last I heard, which was a while ago, the plan was pretty much for his dad to support him until he died, at which point he'll live in that same house and live off of the inheritance until he dies too. He's not so disabled that he needs a constant caretaker, so as long as he's got money he'll be fine alone.A career is out of the question. Moving elsewhere is impossible both because he can't afford/doesn't have the competence to and because there's so few places he can actually legally live. He basically just moved from one prison to another one, and he'll stay there until he dies. Kind of screwed his sister (not literally--I realized I needed to flag that lol), but she's not a criminal and makes okay money so she'll be okay. He basically fucked his whole life up and the lives of everyone in his immediate family.

i hate to defend sex offenders but you really have to look it up to see what they were busted for.some its as minor (no pun intended) as pissing outside on a tree and getting dinged for "exposing themselves" and then bam, sex offender for life.I have a cousin who got sex offender for taking a piss at a playground. Now this was at 3am in the morning but the judge still screeched about it being "at a playground where kids could be".Again, not defending actual predators and that is gross. But the system can take advantage of this and my cousin is relentlessly harassed if he moves apartments. Which is like pretty much every year or so because he can only get 1 year leases and most places raise rent after that to be dicks.
