Which circumstances would make you want to join your country's military forces?

There are none I could ever imagine.Sadly I can now imagine several scenarios where I would join a partisan force against them, if it would protect my fellow citizens to do so.Really don't like this timeline.
I don't know but the nation not having a government so worthless that anarchy is far more preferable would be a good start.
