The main reason I don't like abuse is how contrived it is. Hug box makes sense: Owner love pet, pet love owner. They have fun, and it ends. For abuse to make sense you need to justifypeople with sociopathic tendencies being everywhere. Killing a rat is no big deal, spending lots of money to make a dungeon where you slowly kill one and post all of it on YouTube would never be allowed. Stories about abusers being everywhere and doing what they do in public is just dumb to me. I like Hug box or neutral.
