But they have every legal right to do so when you apply to work for them under federal employment laws for AT WILL work, at will means you both agree that for any reason or none at all you can either quit or they can fire you at any point or time and there are very very few consequences for this legally, the favor is actually weighted heavily in your favor if you are a minority.
