What are your thoughts on Payton Manning?
>>955078106His name is Peyton not Payton.
He's also Paintin' Manning
>>955078174Autocorrect will do that for you
>>955078183So, you are a Colts fan or something? Why would you ask us about Payton?
His nephew sucks ass
>>955078180Nice>>955078106He's an all-time great QB that is honestly a bit underrated because of Brady/Patriots dynasty.
>>955078232I'm getting into football (I barely know anything about the sport) and I heard Peyton Manning was a great player, so I'm reading up about him.>>955078415I've also heard of Tom Brady. Did they ever play against each other?
Best black QB since Warren Mooncricket
>>955078500He played against Tom Brady several times. Only beat him a couple times but every single one was an instant classic.
>>955078500Ah, dude let me tell you right now.. American football is the GOAT sport.. especially NFL/pro. Once you start to understand the game and the matchups.. it's just simply the best.>>955078654Yeah. 03-04 AFC Championship games. 06 was a classic and a few regular season games in between. The Patriots were almost always the more complete team.. especially on defense.
>>955078813Yeah. Watching Peyton work with Harrison and Wayne was great, though.
>>955078872True. Dallas Clark too, the audibles at the line. That was a great era of football. I'm a Bears fans so I got to see it in the Super Bowl lol.
Top 5 all time QB as far as I'm concerned, top 3 depending on who you ask. Tom Brady is clearly #1 all time, but from there it kind of gets difficult and varies person to person. It's actually pretty wild, because for a long time people would tell you Joe Montana was #1 and Tom Brady was 2, but it feels like as soon as Brady passed Montana, 2 kind of fell to whomever you were talking to. I've seen Rodgers, Marino, Brees, Manning, Montana ofc.Honestly, I'd probably put him at 4 behind Rodgers at 3. Rodgers is obviously struggling now-a-days, but prime Rodgers was an otherwordly player and offensive mind
>>955078928Holy shit that return on the opening kickoff by Hester. One of my favorite plays in Super Bowl history, even if they did lose lol
>>955078621lol
>>955078654That's cool, I hope they both gave their best.>>955078813>Ah, dude let me tell you right now.. American football is the GOAT sport.. especially NFL/pro. Once you start to understand the game and the matchups.. it's just simply the best.Yeah, that's my plan, I want to enjoy it, but first I'm learning about it. So far I've read the Wikipedia article about the sport and while I learned about how it came to be I still don't understand how it is played.I do know that the quarterback is the best/most important position of the sport. So I started looking up figures instead. Tom Brady came up and then after a while Peyton Manning appeared as well.To give you some context, I come from soccer. It's fun, and has its own charm, but I want to know what it is about American football as well.
>>955080773Watch a game and you'll likely figure it out pretty quickly. Even just highlights will give you an idea of what it looks like
Ball
>>955079105No Young or Elway? The thing is that people have a greater understanding and the systems in use. Montana was notable for the time because he ran Walsh's West Coast offense and nobody had ever seen anything like it before. But he wasn't running it on his own. Sorta like how Dan Fouts put up ridiculous numbers running the Air Coryell or Kurt Warner running Mike Martz's system.Brady and Manning stand out from that because they were the ones actually running the offense not the coordinators and coaches on the sidelines.
>>955083230Probably any number of QBs we could name that people have called #2 to be honest. Young and Elway certainly deserve a mention though
Chicken parm you taste so good
I can't name my representatives in Congress, but I have tons of useless niggerball statistics memorized!USA!USA!USA!Nothing is better than watching niggers in spandex play with their balls!
For me its douchebag manning
>>955080773Okay, but have you looked into hockey? I'm biased but it is legitimately an incredible sport
>>955089451Ice hockey, sure. Though I've heard it's mostly played in cold places. I've tried to see videos and it looks pretty cool, but I can't see the puck.
