so i renewed my ip and forgot to clear my cookies, yet i was still able to post a thread somehow, then when i tried making another one my ban came up all of a sudden.

>>24369167It probably has something to do with Cloudflare's captcha system. Enforcing 4chan bans appears to be outsourced to Cloudflare and their captcha system. When you close and re-open your browser, it seems to re-check that your browser isn't trying to make malicious requests to their servers (even though it already confirmed that this is the case when you previously posted here, and issued your browser a cookie to mark (You) as safe). Their captcha system definitely seems to behave differently when making your first post upon closing and re-opening your browser, as opposed to subsequent posts.It's tough to say what caused this to happen for you, OP, without looking at Cloudflare's code for their captcha system. But this is intriguing, from a cyber-security perspective.
