Should we preserve ethnic 'diversity' in Europe by clinging to rather outdated concepts of nation states, and ethnic nationalism,or should we embrace all white identity, like Americans have?

One solid argument that I've heard against mixing all Europeans up into a single white identity is that it removes the diversity required to have a certain resistance to viruses and bioweapons.
