I designed a flag for the Socialist Republic of Australia, a hypothetical country that I hope will exist some day. Thoughts?

I know China tried a fully socialist economy under Mao and it didn't really work, but China today has moved so far away from Marx's original intent that I think it really can't be described as socialist anymore, seeing as it has billionaires and mega corporations. Although Deng's original intent was to one day re nationalize the economy after introducing free market reforms, so maybe I'll be proven wrong and China will one day transition back to a fully socialized economy like the USSR had.I also believe in political freedom and anti authoritarianism, so I hope that a socialist country would be possible that is a true democracy and doesn't involve state suppression of political free speech and expression. Authoritarianism is honestly my biggest critique of the USSR and historical socialist projects. I hope that one day we'll have a truly free socialist country that doesn't involve Gulags and mass executions.

It's likely that some form of central government is necessary. I identify more as a Democratic Socialist, although it is frustrating that the Democratic Socialist movement in just about every western country has failed, as the far right seems to be rising in just about every western liberal democracy. Who knows what the future will hold, but I hope that one day humanity will achieve a world where exploitation and capitalism are a thing of the past.
