I'd estimate 3 dozen convictions. Anyway I can easily still find work despite that. Most of my convictions are either driving related (driving while my license was suspended, driving over 200kmph, drifting and skidding on public roads, etc) or from violent crimes. I did a lot of bad shit in my early twenties. But I never stole from anyone, and a history of theft seems to be the only thing most employers care about for some reason.>>24487097Like this anon said, learning some kind of skill is a good way to make money. It can be any skill. A few years back, I bought a category 4 electrical multimeter and briefly did a polytechnic course where I learned how to test appliances to see if they're electrically safe. Tradesmen are required by law in NZ to have their power tools tested every 2 years and "test and tag" companies charge them a lot of money to do that. So I just charge a lower price than all those companies, since it's not my main source of income (it's my side hustle). It's so fucking easy, it's practically free money since I'm not selling stock or whatever that I have to purchase. And I can test my own appliances at home too whenever I want.

My forklift license only cost me $300 NZD (about 150 Euros) to get and it was the full one, meaning I can legally drive a forklift on public roads and not just on work sites.
