A friend of mine has worked in a lot of retirement places around NZ. She told me that most of the employees in retirement places are Indian and Filipino women who are either incompetent or malicious. Either way, they don't look after the elderly residents well enough and do dumb shit like forget to bring them their medications and their meals. I don't know what it's like in other countries, but here in NZ, you're probably better off trying to live independently if you're an old person.
