Hi all. This is another autistic man love thread, because I need love and some of my brothers probably do too! In this thread, let's talk about our experiences with the greater autistic community and the mainstream autism rights movement. Have you ever interacted with them? What was it like?My Experiences: I spent the first roughly 18 years of my life trying really hard to be like the normal people but it was really stressful and so I felt burnt out upon entering adulthood. Then, I went to Wrong Planet hoping for healing ... but there I only found more cruelty. The users on Wrong Planet will kick the shit out of you if you talk about your bad experiences with abusive normies (They consider it "autistic supremacy" if you talk about the normies who have abused you.) ... and yet overt misandry (hatred of men) is common on Wrong Planet. Wrong Planet is a site that encourages autistic men to hate themselves and the site also encourages autistic women to engage in anti-male hate whilst completely rejecting autistic pride. Overall, Wrong Planet comes across as a site which was made by radical feminists ... who want to completely shut down autistic radicalism. Is that fair? I mean, I am an autistic man and I was abused by my normie mother and sister when I was a kid. I know about how cruel some women can be towards autistic boys from first-hand experience. If your personal backstory is anything like that, then Wrong Planet will just tell you that you are a crybaby pussy and an incel ... which is exactly what mainstream society says to autistic male abuse survivors. Also, the users on that site constantly make bitchy comments at one another. It would be nice if autistic people could unite against abusive normies and against the system that lets abusive normies off the hook, but Wrong Planet function as an extension of that system.
I've tried using other "autism rights" websites, but the pattern continues. Misandrists get "understanding". Male abuse survivors get treated like shit. Misandry is normalized on those sites ... but you'll get a beating if you dare to criticize normies on those sites. That's why I create these man-hug spaces on 4chan. I have this radical idea that MAYBE autistic males should seek happiness instead of self-abuse.So ... what have your experiences with the mainstream autism movement been like? Discuss.
