>he still lives at home past 20go head, let's hear the cope's!>muh saving money>muh rent too high>muh helping muh parentsyou're missing out on the most fun time of your life to be independent. You will never EVER get that time again in your life where you are independent but also able to screw around. You're gonna be a sad balding 30+ year old that has to learn to live on your own for the first time or an embarrassing basement uncle for life! You are a failure!
I moved out with 14
>>24747371Living alone is nothing, what the fuck are you on about? Live with your parents/parent as long as you can

>>24747472I mean, surely you have some friends who aren't degenerates who are in the same life situation as you and might want to share an apartment, right?
>>24747472Living with roommates is just as bad as living at home. Poorfag shit and you have to share your own living room like it’s a fucking communal area lmao. Just get a 1 bedroom apartment and live there alone. No quicker way to develop than living alone as a man in your 20s for a few years. I’m 27 been living alone since 23 and it’s crazy how much arrested development I see in my friends who haven’t moved out.
Unless you have a gf moving out voluntarily is retarded and most people are forced to start working a second job, work extra hours or get side gigs just to survive. "Screw around" my ass
copy & pasted this onto /r9k/ and got loads of (You)s. Thanks OP!
>>24747633I bet your mom get loads, if you know what I mean
>>24747574I think this is honestly what holds a lot of people on this board back. Whenever I was in my early 20s I had tons of friends who all looked forward to living together and it was lots of fun like a non stop summercamp. If I didn't have friends to do that with it would suck ass moving in with strangers as roommates is definitely worse than being with your parents
>>2474777790% of the problems people on this board have in their lives are caused by a lack of personal connection with other humans
>>24747785tsmt, every single faggot on here needs to go and touch grass and talk to people. Although they're probably so unlikable now it's pointless
>>24747371>where you are independent but also able to screw aroundYeah I do that by living at my parents and not having to work in my 20s
>>24747785The internet killed personal connection among the youth before the internet overlapping interests were much more common as there were much fewer things readily available for people to be interested in. Now everyone has hyper refined tastes spanning a huge range of interests which causes individuals to be true individuals with very little consistent overlap leading to atomization as it’s hard to find anyone to truly relate to even 60% let alone fully. Talking with people and interacting with them is easy sharing a laugh maybe a drink but it’s all vapid hollow and base level. As soon as you get into the weeds the splitting away of commonalities becomes more and more prevalent. People are too unique now on a person by person basis nobody is relatable to anybody.
>>24747880Are you retarded?
>>24747894I’m so much more of a human and so much more developed than you are you wouldn’t be able to come within mile of understand what I had to say even if I spent ten pages articulating it to you. You’re probably not even conscious.
>>24747880>The internet killed personal connection among the youthNo it didn'tStop making excuses
>>24747880bro the internet has been around for a long ass time now. I was browsing 4chan in 2005
>>24747910It’s not an excuse I have a widely spanning social circle I am well liked and respected by all my colleagues professionally I say these things because I’ve seen them. The human connection you people speak of doesn’t exist in the same way it used to our perceptions of what connection means have been warped by the internet. There is no innocence no naivety people have been exposed to grand ideas and concepts they would have had no business catching a whisper of in the world prior to the internet and it’s ruined people.
>>24747927Nothing has fundamentally changed except that people think being glued to your phone is both an activity and social interaction when it's neither.
>>24747916>>24747936The internet used to have an air of innocence go look at a YouTube video posted 15+ years ago and look at the comments from that time you’ll see what I’m talking about. From 2016 on in the light of social media the internet became a place to outsource what we used to call connection to but passing this connection through the filter of the internet caused people to begin tailoring personas designed for internet use then wearing these personas out into the world. Most now identify with this internet persona of theirs whether it be their Instagram page or their tweets and have lost the version of themselves that used to be there prior to the post 2016 social media age. For younger people especially they never even had the chance to become a “self” they’ve just been a product of algorithms combined with their finely tailored internet persona their whole lives. This is why the youth have such issues with anxiety they try to step out into the world with this internet mask of theirs which was never meant to see the light of day, they can’t operate. The internet and social media specifically have changed how people develop it’s changed how people view connection it’s changed how people perceive their sense of self and how they perceive others.
>>24747958>the internet turned bad [right after my childhood]shut the fuck up faggot
I had a younger brother who lived with my parents until he was forced out with an RFA order. If he was my son I’d have kicked him out much earlier. Had he contributed to the home and pulled his own weight, kept his room clean and treated my parents respectfully, I’d feel differently. He was none of those things. If we were a muslim family he’d suffer an honor killing. Alas, my parents were protestants and stood for nothing but blind compassion until he was literally violent towards them.
I sure hope someone lives in their home
LMAO why is there a duplicate of this thread now? hmmmmz i wonder
