It's hard no to resist the desire to make everything objective. Subjectivity doesn't always make as much clearer sense, but it's closer to how we innately are, and that carries weight with it. It's much easier to avoid any kind of emotional blockages or psychic pain that way, which is how we were programmed. Objectifying everything is a habit though.
