RAM is being built but it has been pre-allocated to go to data centers instead of the consumer market that's why there is a perceived shortage. The amount of RAM being made is still the same if not higher.It's just that the manufacturer can make more money selling to a large corporation than individual consumers. I thought you guys were pro capitalism?
Additionally, this is a double benefit because after the abrupt spike of AI demand dies down, they can settle the prices 20 to 30% higher in the consumer market and the consumer will still think it's cheaper over the next 2 to 3 years
