That has not been my experience on here. I've seen several threads shilling for communism in the past week. I don't even start my own political threads. I just post in theirs and tell them they're wrong.

I died once. It was pretty comfy.
I had to go deal with some things on the other side of the country for a few days. The BSB and CAW left me flowers on the stove yesterday with a note saying "Missed you! We should drink about it! 8pm at [the pub]?"

We... uh... we carried on a bit. They got up for breakfast, but they're napping again. If my mouth is still this dry at 2pm, their hangover is probably going to carry over til Tuesday.

Mine was an anaesthetic fuckup... My heart stopped. They got me going again right quick.
I came to (in basically no more pain than I was in before the surgery) and quipped something like "but I don't wanna go to school". The nurse (maybe one of the anaesthetic team? Whoever it was making sure I came to alright) had a bit of a breakdown laughing and crying.
I was just trying to protest having to get up. I didn't realize they'd killed me lol.

I'm alright-ish. I was expecting worse. I don't know if your bizarre orange-bubblegum soda will fix them, but I'll prep some coffee and go snag some.

I did them up some Thai-ish fried chicken n scallion waffles for breakfast. Coconut-ginger-lime-basil underneath, turmeric-laded sweet thai pepper syrup up top... Full of all things that are good - sorted me out anyway.

yeah along those sorta lines.
the second one is better the first one is sorta just comically bad advice.
>should it be more random and nonsensical
it can be fairly mundane as long as it remains whimsical.
things don't have to perfectly fit my idea of what it should be like tho, you can write whether u like as long as it fits ur idea of the sorta advice wholesome retard bear would give. I'm just tryna explain how I envisioned the sorta stuff he'd say

hopefully u have the 1901 variant but if not the normal one will work too just the 1901 one is best because its got way more sugar and no caffine.

>>24770864
ooh yummy :D
not had haggis in a while, I should have it soon its rlly good.
obtaining them is tricky tho the wee bastards can run rlly fast around hills because their legs are shorter on one side.
best way to do it is get a friend to walk counter clockwise around the hill (haggis can only run around the hill clockwise) and scare it towards you then you smack it with a shinty stick.
better hit it hard too, if u just stun it and it wakes up while ur grabbing it you are in for a world of hurt, they have 3 rows of razor sharp interlocking teeth and secrete an enzyme that stops ur blood clotting.
you know all those hikers that go missing in the highlands every year even in good weather? yeah those are haggis bite victims.
there's this whole big coverup where they claim nonsense like "haggis is made from sheep offal its not an animal" and "those hikers died of exposure" but i know the truth ive found a body in the glen before covered in the distinctive bites of a haggis and completely exsanguinated

I was smoking a cigar while driving around getting things done
>half hour drive, smoke about 3cm of cigar, let it die five mins from my destination, leave it in the ashtray liner with the windows down while I do my thing, spark it up for the next run
Get a phone call ten mins from home, pop in my earpiece because my car's microphone is shit, forget what I'm smoking and inhale like it's a joint.
Instant regret. Much uncomfy. I had grand plans for chili tonight, but I don't know if food's gonna stay down.
BSB's probably going to stop by, see the ashen shade of green I am, and suggest going to the restaurant to hang with our Chubby Asian Waitress anyway... LET'S ADD BAIJIU TO THIS!

have a hot shower and get some steam in ur lungs.
maybe a honey lemon or ginger tea too.
>LET'S ADD BAIJIU TO THIS!
could work too xD
>>
>>24779141
The baijiu did not work lol... I shouldn't be smoking anyway. Let this be a lesson I probably won't heed.
>>
>>24779908
>I shouldn't be smoking anyway
you asthmatic or something?
I guess nobody should rlly be smoking but that's never stopped anyone xD
I got some rlly nice tobacco for spliffs almost a month ago and ive barely been able to smoke any because it was making my asthma rlly bad for like 3-4 days every time I had even a few tokes off one :(
>>
>>24781368
Lots of family history of cancer and heart disease...
but it's fine, because I get all my smoking done in one shot, and then I'm good for the rest of the week/month, right? And it's not like I usually inhale it like some sort of soft-skulled cock wellington, it's more sublingual because there is a metric assload of nicotine in the leaves I've been rolling. If I want to fill my Churchill mold with a full 8, I have to wear gloves - or the wet tobacco's enough to give me a mild contact high... so inhaling and holding it in was probably a sign that I shouldn't breed.
>>
>>24781381
oh I see yeah we have that too.
I've even got a congenital heart defect :/
somehow all those years of amphetamines and crack didn't kill me so I'm guessing its alright to have the occasional spliff xD
>but it's fine, because I get all my smoking done in one shot, and then I'm good for the rest of the week/month, right?
maybe not completely without risk but a lot better than daily smoking cigs.
rinsing ur mouth out with an alcohol based mouthwash after smoking stogies should also reduce the risk a bit.
you could even use whisky but don't fucken swallow it.
>inhaling and holding it in was probably a sign that I shouldn't breed.
it happens to the best of us.

>id have taken some pics if it was anywhere noteworthy.
i think almost everything is noteworthy. people should preserve every memory they have forever. maybe its just being a datahorder that makes me say this but i really mean everything is worth preserving. save it on a hard drive or two and many years later you will be so god damn happy to save it. me looking through my old stuff for stuff to post delayed this post for a couple of hours lol. i have this video but dont have the audio accompanying it, and that is one of few things that can make me sad right now.
>might be better to wait for some overcast weather for the lighting always
the day i took this pic it was overcast. rained a little even. this place is weird like that

>i dunno. what did you think?
the demotivation and brainfog probably arent mood related. the mood stuff is probably a result of the same thing causing the fog ect.
I know u probably would have these symptoms from the adhd anyway but it certainly cant be helping matters.
>we also thought that it would be fine again but then it hit us out of nowhere
scary. I rlly hope that wont happen here, our temps never got as bad as urs but still miserable.
>people should preserve every memory they have forever
I agree usually, I'm a data hoarder too but with this I'm telling ya it genuinely wasnt like the type of trip that is worth remembering xD

woah that's fuckin crazy sounding.
I've set my tinnitus off listening to the entire raw one on full blast tryna discern some pattern in the ticking lol.
how old is this satellite? am I correct in guessing its literally a case of 'they dont make em like that anymore' and its using shit like rope core memory which is why its still going after all this time while modern satelites only last a decade or less?

>the mood stuff is probably a result of the same thing causing the fog ect.
which in my case would be probably be just tism which then causes a whole array of issues. lets maybe not in one of thee threads
>what exactly were u picking upz kinda hard to tell what a sound/frequency is by looking at a spectrogram
it was transit 5b-5, or at least that is the name what we thing the satellite is called hehe. there is a pretty good chance that that name is actually wrong and that is something else. one of the sources (specifically the one decoding the pcm signal) should have its actual name because the manifest is wrong.
actually the entire lore behind this thing is jsut so coo; because apparently its pcm signal is going at twice the original speed because the clock broke, BUT ITS STILL WORKING CORRECTLY. goddamn these things are a rabbithole.
>they are nice to look at :)
thanks <3
>I believe u but i hope u fInd the audio
i sadly lost/forgot the passphrase to that backup. nothing in this world could get it back.
which is why i'll try to record it again some day i think. stuff's worth preserving.
>the entire raw
woah. the entire raw thing is only there so you can replay (you can replay baseband recordings and pretend like you are the one receiving it and use aaaaal the demodulation techniques like irl) it using some SDR software. i recommend sdr++ but people also like SDR# and others. just avoid sdrangel. that one's a real piece of shit that stubborn people recommend to newbies..
all you do is select a file instead of an actual radio and you are good to go.
>how old is this satellite?
it was launched in 1964 i think. yes, actually. it died not too long after launch and then came back on its own. its operators abandoned it and cant control it anymore, hence it being placed in the category of a "zombie satellite". all the ones except for the NOAA ones, which pics i posted, fit in that category.
>>
btw PCM, which it uses in one of its channels is a modulation scheme we STILL use to this day, is the only signal it sends out that we can STILL decode. it sends out a frame buffer which;s tldr is that a major part of its brain is still there and is sending out a coherent signal. absolutely insane considering its age.
>while modern satellites only last a decade or less?
theoretically they can last for faaar longer (like the old NOAA sats proved, whose pics you saw by me) but operators usually kill them way earlier once something new is in orbit to save costs. NOAA just decided to let them live for as long as possible because why not. and those old things lived many life-times longer than predicted.
>its a rlly fucking cool hobby
is it a coincidence that my grandpa was an ever greater radio nerd than i am? his character might have been evil but the man build and entire fucking two way radio all by himself. i not only saw it myself but also talked on it. he is a bad person most people wold say but he is the one that made my tistic brain love technology so damn much.
>>
please if you have any questions about playing raw files or radios in general, pleaseeee ask me later when i am thinking straight. this area of interest is in desperate need of fresh blood and if you are interested enough in looking into solrad and secor i am sure that you would love the 10000 other things this has to offer.
one of the best SDR kits is not even 50 'merrican bucks, not to mention euros or pounds. its so easy too but so many people assume that they wont get it which so sad. happens which so many "nerd" topics

you are a degenerate homo and I want no part of it
>>

Don't post this gross shit, I would never think of gay sex in that much detail. In fact, my fantasy would stop the millisecond it includes me cumming and the fact that you can post this with a straight face is gay af

my face isnt the only thing that is straight, im 100% straight unlike you.
you are the one that is having fantasies about me

>would be probably be just tism
yeah I'm not saying its the sole cause but u gotta be realistic about the deleterious effects of messing with anything endocrine related.
I know full well u understand that tho so I feel kinda dickish for alluding to the topic.
pls understand I'm not TRYING to bring it up I know u don't wanna talk about it here, ill try harder to avoid bringing it up because I value ur presence here and don't wanna make u uncomfortable.
>goddamn these things are a rabbithole.
sure sounds that way. its rlly interesting I've gotta look into this shit more when i have the energy to do proper research.
>nothing in this world could get it back.
can't crack it? even if it took months u could probably bruteforce it no?
>using some SDR software
u sure I can't just learn to speak satelite? maybe if i listen to it enough ill start hearing the patterns :p
>1964
this thing is older than my parents lol. I wonder how long it can possibly last, I hope the lil guy is around for at least a few more decades singing his lonely song
>>24790391
>absolutely insane considering its age.
i will need to learn what all the acronyms mean but I'm a little invested in this now, ill just have to wait for myself to end up getting hyoerfocussed on it.
its so melancholic that these lil old abandoned robots are just flying around singing their song hoping someone is listening
>NOAA just decided to let them live for as long as possible
id think its pretty valuable to have stuff like that to figure out what the longest these things can stay operational is
>he is a bad person most people wold say but he is the one that made my tistic brain love technology so damn much.
nobody is so simple as to be just evil. try be thankful that this part of him existed and introduced u to something so cool even if u have grown to hate other facets of who the man was
>>24790399
I will! I'm also not in the best headspace for highly technical stuff right now but id like to learn about this

just as you slow down i grab the back of your head and wispier in your ear 'cum daddy' as I thrust my ass into your crotch, with a loud moan you climax
I bet you are thinking about some gay shit like that while you do it, fucking faggot

You know what? We're through, I don't want to talk to you anymore. It's not you, it's me... Actually it's you. I mean, all you ever talk about is gay sex.
I wake up in the morning and the first thing you talk about is gay sex. I take my lunch break and you're talking about cum and gay sex. I come home from work, and guess what topic you impose on me?
I don't want to talk about faggotry anymore.
Don't reply to me ever again, you homosexual piece of shit.

>uncomfy topic
i know that you know that i know and to be transparent i absolutely did feel a very bad difference mentally but after levels stabilized, which took a little over a week, everything's exactly as it used to be. i know how it influences you and thus i know that what i was describing in the previous posts wasn't it. most of the time i forget that i am even on it its so negligible.
you are not making anyone uncomfortable and pls know that i am closer to your position than what most would expect from somebody like me.
stupid topic closed, doesnt matter.
>its rlly interesting I've gotta look into this shit more when i have the energy to do proper research.
all you need to receive an enormous chunk of the radio spectrum is just a laptop and a 50 buck kit. reading about the things you're receiving is a lot of fun but nothing compares than doing it out in the while. if you only saw my face when i finally picked up secor goddamn that was awesome.
>can't crack it?
impossible. modern encryption is practically uncrackable even with future sci-fi computers.
if you could oh boy would be going through a crisis right now.
>maybe if i listen to it enough ill start hearing the patterns :p
i know that you are joking but you can actually sorta do it. you can even get a very good idea of what a signal sounds like just by looking at it visually. you could go though the wiki and listen to some recordings and you should spot some correlations pretty fast.
>this thing is older than my parents lol
yeah like this thing is basically one of the closest thing to a computer fossil you can still interact with. its just mind-blowing really
>its so melancholic that these lil old abandoned robots are just flying around singing their song hoping someone is listening
which is why you gotta preserve and archive so even after they finally go quiet there will still be people listening to them
>>
>its pretty valuable to have stuff like that to figure out what the longest these things can stay operational is
you already sort of know for new satellites. there is so much testing and simulating going on before they are even built that there's no real need for trial by fire anymore. way cheaper than monitoring a bunch of sats that also take up valuable space in orbit for nothing. its better this way

there are many channels that talk about this sorta stuff but while not that approachable to newbies i like https://www.youtube.com/@dereksgc/videos a lot

any ways i gotta slowly get ready, uhm, there's a piece of history flying over me soon and i didnt do this in a while :D
wonder if i can even receive it right now, its sorta cloudy..
>>
>>24793497
>i know that you know that i know
well now I know that you know that i know you know xD
sorry.
>all you need to receive an enormous chunk of the radio spectrum is just a laptop and a 50 buck kit.
ill have to look into getting one when I've bought the current things I'm saving for.
shouldn't take that long to :)
do u go out looking for specific signals or is it a bit like bird watching?
>modern encryption is practically uncrackable
I know that, I should have not used the word crack lol I just meant bruteforce the password. isn't that doable?
dunno how u encrypted it, is it RSA?
>you should spot some correlations pretty fast.
:o are u sure ur autistic superpowers dont just utterly mog mine?
I've gotta try some time but don't wanna make my tinnitus any louder just now.
>closest thing to a computer fossil you can still interact with.
it really is pretty mind blowing.
I wonder if we should try to build apocolypse proof puters that are build using the same methods as rlly old ones like rope memory ect.
idk for sure but i think those are the only puters that can survive nuclear war because its the explaination they give for the apollo missions being supposedly able to pass through the van allen belt without getting their shit scambled.
>which is why you gotta preserve and archive
yes I see that. ill defos put any data I collect on archive disks and online archives if i get into this

>do u go out looking for specific signals or is it a bit like bird watching?
usually i do some research before i go out but i also just look at random stuff and try to guess what it is. you call it "scanning" and its a very popular thing with some radios being called "scanners"
when/if i move out i might turn to automation even. goddamn this stuff is amazing
>I just meant bruteforce the password
same thing. pretty much all "forced decryption" is trying to guess the password because of how secure encryption algorithms are. quite literately no other way.
>are u sure ur autistic superpowers dont just utterly mog mine?
no, its a pretty basic thing. its weird at first but esp with analogue signals (you can filter for those specifically on the wiki) you can sort of imagine the sound. i dunno how to describe it but if you see a lot of random dots you can expect random beeps. when there are straight lines expect a static tone. if they move diagonally then it sounds like a sweep, and so on. digital ones tend to be very fast and random but that's also how you can be sure that its digital.
>I've gotta try some time but don't wanna make my tinnitus any louder just now
i get you 100000% same bother xd
>using the same methods as rlly old ones like rope memory ect.
android phones, sorta. we already have kinda very hardy hardware but we create it at random and just have to find it. there's that mars helicopter that literately just uses a phone's brain as its own. and well its sorta radioactive there. no need to go back thaat far i think but while its not the same there's a company that archives data on photographic film. all you need to read it is a way to zoom in. kinda same vibe i guess..
>I hope u manage to pick it up
didnt do any pre-flight checks and uhm it went poorly. nothing of value saved xd. oh btw many of these older sats broadcast very close to a couple bands that airplanes use. did see a lot of tracking data so the radio stillworks at least, that i did learn
