If you scan all existing Japanese art from 1980 to today its like 80% drawing what are obviously white people, 15% drawing their people, and 5% other. Whats up with that? I find it really strange. Everytime I see some drawing from a Japanese person my reaction is always wait that's just a white person. Even when they draw self inserts they draw white people. Its REALLY weird to me. Does any other people group do this? Im black btw
Japanese people were irrevocably spiritually shattered by having nukes dropped on them, and now identify with white people
You are seeing what you want to see. I am a Chinese man and have always seen anime characters as Asian people
>>24796267That is why they stylize the eyes so much and never draw them in a realistic way. The closer they get to realism, the more it's obvious that they're all white. This is why the eyes are supposed to be so big, practically inhuman, more like insectoid, but still cute. To obfuscate their race.
These are white? It looks like they just put some white characters in it. They put a black squid in splatoon 2. Your right that there aren't many black characters in anime.
>>24796926That is not a typical example, though.
>>24796933Bullshit you're seeing what you want. Count every single anime head then
>>24796936If they got black hair, they are a Japanese self-insert. Here they try to keep them as Japanese as possible, but even here you can see that they still give them blue eyes. The best example is this one. This is what an actual Japanese person would look like stylized.
>>24796936And this is just a white woman with a hime cut and hair dyed black. If we grant that hair's not dyd, then we can maybe stretch the definition of her also being Japanese, but for some reason with blue eyes.
>>24796946>>24796951Notice the skin color tone difference.
>>24796952Yeah and that one has teal hair. Maybe mix up the defaults in a place where monotone is the Technicolor?
>>24796951That sounds like something you guys should know.
