I was born in the 80s, y2k tech was always about better and faster stuff, having a pda just means looking forward to the next one, etc, there is no such thing as having a device and expecting it to work until now, not laptops, not pads and phones, the nostalgia is built on romantic ideals, early 2000s gadgets were never going to stay in any scenario

i had a scary realization that the more we go on the less oldfags will be there to remember the internet and the tech before smartphones and social media.there will come a time where this site will be exclusively people born after 2007.

my post will probably be misunderstood i need to write better & come up with more examplesit's not all intentional/direct manipulation of public thought, it's also just effects like times getting harderas it gets more difficult to get by, you have less time/energy & will not think about these things as much, they'll slowly fade from memory, compared to an existence you might've had in a much easier country/timethis is why taxes can be mass murder, also, it diminishes the total life but in a way nobody notices
