Interviewed for another job yesterday. Told them I used to make 26/hour. They offered me 24/hour today, with a potential increased to 25/hour after 90 days. I was recently offered 27/hour, and I turned it down. Why? Because none of it matters. None of these pay rates allow me to afford a home. Even a small home. I have 720 credit and $85,000 in savings plus $80,000 in my IRA account. Still can't afford a home. I tried, trust me. I don't need anything big. But if I can't afford a home, why would I go back to work? So I can rent with 5 roommates and be even more miserable?I need to find a way to start making AT LEAST $40/hour. Not saying I deserve that much, not asking for a handout. I need to learn something ASAP that lets me earn that kind of money. Because otherwise my life is not viable and there is no reason to not continue as a NEET until I die. I thought about learning to do mobile car detailing, but that sounds like a total meme and not really viable as a business plan.
