>>24922647Just did my front brakes last week. What a challenge. 80,000 miles deep and the rotor had to be hammered loose. Had to use a breaker bar on top of the wrench just to get the caliper bolts loose. Took every bit of my strength. Thank god nothing broke. A little bit of silicon grease, a rotor and a pad and we stopping good now boss. I don't think the next gen has the moxy. This was tough.

So next you gotta get the caliper bolts loose. Then you have to set the entire caliper assembly onto the CV axle. Make it secure, you're going to be hammering. Once the caliper is clear, see if you can get the rotor off. If the prior mechanic did not use any grease you are going to have to beat it the fuck off with all your might. Don't worry about damaging it, its scrap. Once you get the rotor off, re-assembly can begin. Make sure you grease the slide pins, back of the rotor and use never cease on the caliper bolts. Good luck.

Putting your hands to them, changing pieces and parts. Thats the hard part. Busting your knuckles, breaking stuff. Having to make specialize tools to get things apart. The book work of mechanics is simple, its actually doing to the work that requires toughness. They ain't gonna automate just yet. Maybe oil changes.
