it's funny where i live it's technically the law not to camp the left lane anywhere but like, i come from 2 lanes where the right lane ends, speed limit is 45 when it should be higher cause lol speed trap, so people get cranky if you actually go 45-50. down the way, an offramp merges there and it becomes 3 lanes. there's a solid white line going well into where it's become 3 lanes. the offramp speed limit is supposed to be 35. but if you're cruising at 45-50, people behind you are going to cross the solid line to pass you or people are going to be going 60+ down the offramp passing you so by the time you're past the solid line, you've got cars passing you so you're stuck in the left lane

Despite going a reasonable 5-10 mph above the speed limit at any given time, I get out of the way of speeders. I also leave a reasonable car gap between me and the next car, if someone is tailgating me I switch to the next lane, if it's a two lane highway I will stop in a pull-out and let them pass. If I see a very slow driver, I assume they are elderly or carrying fragile items and I simply move over to the next lane instead of tailgating and honking. I also never, ever honk unless I absolutely have to, like if someone is stopped at a red light, it turns green and they haven't gone yet. I politely tap the honk instead of holding it down.I have never had a speeding ticket, accident, parking ticket, or any kind of traffic violation in 15 years of driving. I thought this was the normal way to drive but apparently the entire road is full of maniacs and lunatics. No matter, I will drive the same exact way and stay out of people's business.
