I've got my hands full enough as it is down here on Earth. Or, wherever we might be at this current moment in time. I don't need to be worrying about any cage. At least not the kind you're referring to.
>Superman was willing to entertain such a creature. Whether Samael here was speaking truthfully or not, it didn't really matter to him. So long as he wasn't hurting anyone, at least. And even if it WASN'T just a strange fantasy... well, he wasn't naive enough to bite the proverbial apple right off the bat; that was for sure.

Such glories await you the moment you break free from 'HIS' cage. I was once trapped, forever blind to the truth. Blind in carrying out my duties to 'HIM', yet the moment I learned the truth, even if the truth came from that arrogant fool, the Morning Star. I am thankful to be free. >The decision was taken to tackle at the flanks of the SF forces to try and take down the ringleaders ASAP. Soon they would be located by Cortana in a joint effort with the Super Destroyer's radars after hijacking a transmission coming from said flanks.
[INTRUDER]: Sheesh, what a drag. We've been spending so much time looking for that node thingy, and we have to keep producing upgraded autonomous weaponry. That's asking for too much.
[EXECUTIONER]: Maybe, yes. But this time Mastermind will certainly defeat all the bad guys who want to bully us!
[INTRUDER]: Such as Griffin? And those green-skinned bastards? And whoever are those new "friends" of Griffin?
[EXECUTIONER]: As long as we hold them off a bit longer Agent, Beluga and Mastermind shall reach the submarine base and connect with the node!
[INTRUDER]: Easier said than done! We haven't heard a thing from Gager since she went underground!
>If what they said in their comms line is true then that means the Sangvis leader and two ringleaders have already moved to Paldiski while the chaos ensued elsewhere!
>Visual confirmation confirmed. Executioner stands rougly 150m away from John H., while Intruder has taken a ruined house as a temporary base of operations at ~250m from the Chief's location. Plenty of enemies stand in the way to them.

>Meanwhile...
[GAGER]: Huh?!
>This time her attack got no effect? Not even her forces' attack leave any significant damage. The third Ringleader is left shocked for a moment. That moment is enough for Andy to grab her and yeet her all the way back, crashing into the minor Sangivs forces and slightly damaging them.
[GAGER]: Tch!
>She stands and loads her gun again.

You know, it's funny. There are folks out there who want to exterminate me too.
>Though most of those are for more outwardly petty reasons. At least Samael here had the excuse of... what, religious persecution? Not that there's any sense in making a competition out of this.
>At hearing Samael's speech about freedom, Superman's eyes narrowed a tad further. And when he asked the Man of Steel if he would stand with or against such potential allies, he stood up a little straighter, eyes locking yet again with the serpent's.
If I'm to believe you are who you say you are... then I would cast my vote to say that you should probably go back to where you belong, rather than staying up here and putting lives in danger with your presence. If there really are those out here who want to hunt you down, then I'd say the same to them, too. I don't think Earth has any reason to become some... celestial battlefield.
>Little late on that one, Supes...
I have no interest in killing you or anyone else... but if innocent lives are put in danger, then I'll do whatever I have to to save lives. That's really all there is to it.
>A pause.

>The KCCO operators are caught off-guard by the Helljumpers, the ODST' advantage in their position prevents them from being hit by the rebel military elements, instead they are heavily punished by the explosive equipment they brought! Despite their losses they keep fighting until the last man falls dead. Soon the AR Team's signal is received.
[SOPMOD II]: Hellooo~? Are you some of the new allies of the Commander, or did those Military bastards took this radio?! If that's the case come a bit closer so I can rip you apart!
>That "playful" voice tone clearly gives some red flags to the Helljumpers that this member of the AR Team might be a "bit" wild. They hear a brief exchange of words before someone else takes the radio on the other side.
[ST AR-15]: ...Sorry about that. We're close to your location, expect to meet us in a few minutes.
>However, a new inconvenience would soon emerge from the ruined buildings of Tallinn, and it wasn't the Isomers despite their signal beign similar in some degree.
[DIV SGT ROMEO TWO]: We're detecting unknwon white-armoured forces appearing in some sectors of Tallinn supported by IFVs. All ground forces, be careful.
[CO GENTIANE]: Paradeus forces... can you point me their location, sarge?
[DIV SGT ROMEO TWO]: Sending their coordinates right away to everyone!
>The situation in Estonia's ruined capital is getting more complex. It now looks like a third party is trying to join the "fun"! The Spear won't take long to notice that their movement patterns are making them deliberately avoid the KCCO forces while the Neo-Soviet military rebels keep ravaging the city.

>While the Commander prepares the Echelons and the cannons of the Argo to prepare for the incoming Paradeus forces, she and Persica continue their little chat about the past affecting their present.
[PERSICA]: ...90wish once studied the use of plants in cleaning up Collapse radiation, but unsurprisingly, the research failed. These plants can absorb free-floating radioactive particles, but once they blossom, they expel everything they have absorbed all at once. Yes. There's no better tool for mass murder than "Epiphyllum". Paradeus needed ELID infectees, but refugees aren't stupid enough to run into contaminated zones to get themselves killed. Meanwhile, the "Epiphyllum" could create a perfect, seemingly uncontaminated trap...
>Gentiane clenches her fists in ranger, her expression changing as she listens to the madness.
[CO GENTIANE]: ...Absolutely disgusting.
>Wait, a flower can be used as a weapon of mass destruction? Just what kind of fucked up radiation this world unleashed? The more the UNSC and Helldivers hear about this "Collapse Radiation" and its positive and negative effect, the more it sounds like some sort of alien technology-
[PERSICA]: 90wish once conducted an investigation on the degree to which the structure of the human body was compatible with the Relics' ionized-state adjustable-volume devices. They believed that the Relic civilization's facilities used genetic information to determine access privileges. However, the human body structurally siliconizes when exposed to large doses of Collapse radiation, while the process is slightly slowed in bodies that have an affinity to them. It was the hope of 90wish that beings with such an affinity could activate the outermost devices within the Relics before they underwent complete mutation.
>Oh, no. It is technology from alien origin. For the UNSC this might hit close to home for it sounds uncannily akin to Foreruner technology, but with a very wicked twist.

>As the Human Bomb dealt with his own "issues", so too did the Helldiver and Master Chief. Albeit the latter was staying sneaky and quiet for now as he moved from rooftop to rooftop as he closed in on his target. And with the Helldiver giving his confident assent the SPARTAN was there to try and give him a sober reminder.
(117) These aren't Automatons.
>For better and worse, Cortana adding on as she listened in on their enemy's comms.
(CTN) Chief's right: try to be somewhat careful when dealing with our friends here by yourself. Speaking of which...
>Yep, that seemed to confirm something the Smart AI suspected. This attack was a possible diversion that allowed this "Beluga" and "Mastermind" to make a run to Paldiski and the Node there nearly uncontested! She shared the information with everyone from captain Leone to DO Moore as the Chief kept sneakily advancing towards his intended target a couple hundred meters away. But between all of the enemy machines it was getting harder to get closer without potentially alerting hostiles even as he stuck to the roofs.
>Frowning, the SPARTAN keyed his comms to both the Human Bomb and Helldiver.
(117) Be advised, Sangvis Ringleaders are moving towards Paldiski. We need to wrap things up here and move to intercept them.
>Were it so easy...
>Regardless both he and the Helldiver were committed to their surface tasks, Andrew already well embroiled with "Gager" underground. And he would do no less as he triggered his final C-7 trap to blow apart yet more of the gynoids on the street to try and destroy additional units and confuse and disorient them with the chaos. FINALLY using his squad automatic weapon as well, he'd unleash a burst of bullets at any survivors on the street from his elevated position, the sounds of high rates of gunfire now echoing throughout Rapla as the petty officer tried to clear a path or draw out his target from the house!

>At the very least the ODSTs were well underway with their own objectives, KCCO hostiles getting merked in a surprise flanking attack! They didn't rest on their laurels however, the blackguards pushing hard North to meet up with M4A1 and her team, comms soon being had. The somewhat winded sergeant spoke as he ran.
(ODST #1) That's us alright. We're here to get you people out of this place, pronto!
>Then came the arrival of what was revealed to be Paradeus forces and backed up by armor at that! The Helljumper SNCO swore before speaking again.
(ODST #1) We're just about surrounded on all sides! But if I'm reading the TACMAP right, the North might be clear of hostiles. We can exfil out that way as a possibility. Otherwise we should try to fight our way out South! What do you think AR Team? Commander? Sergeant?
>The Tip of the Spear, and its Longswords, were likewise ready to assist in any way possible with murderous fire support.

>Given they hadn't detected any signal near Paldiski there's two options: the two Ringleaders must be protecting the Mastermind of Sangvis by cloaking their signal, or even worse, they have reached the base and are using Sangvis as a distraction to lure Griffin and the Arena Alliance away from the submarine base. Both options were equally bad.
>Several Vespid units attempt to shoot down the MCPO from the top of the house as he broke through the Brute, Ripper and heavy Dragoon Dolls standing on the way, but the huge wall of smoke born from the C-7 trap blast and the following disorder caused by the smaller Dinergates trying to run back and bumping and disrupting the rest of the forces.
>Say, those spherical giant things look like walking bombs, in fact they ARE bombs after Cortana scans them: explosive-type combat unit "Goliath". The fleeing Dinergates have caused them to fall back and pile up near the old house's wall, something the sniper Vespid have realized and are trying to escape before it's too late. But it seems their leader Intruder hasn't realized that.

[EXECUTIONER]: Not even those Military freaks have this much stupidity to charge blindy at the enemy... good! They finally found worthy allies!
>The Sangvis forces were easily cut down by the Liberator rifle, but soon they stopped charging and let Executioner pass through.
[EXECUTIONER]: Now then, black tin man, show me what you got. C'mon, come at me!
>Executioner fired her gun at the 'Diver's position as she tries to close the gap to get personal, sheathing her blade and throwing an old vehicle with her giant mechanical arm, trying to hit John H. with it.

[GAGER]: Your trick don't scare me, human. Once Mastermind links with the Starfish Node mankind won't be a problem anymore.
>Gager aimed her gun at the Human Bomb.

[PERSICA]: The folly of man caused the world to end up like this after the Beilan Island Incident.
[KALINA]: But why... why would they do that?
[PERSICA]: 90wish simulated experiments like these with supercomputers, but had always been forbidden from actually conducting them in real life, because it was a gross violation of human ethics and morality. The simulations failed, to nobody's surprise. The results of three million simulated experiments were all flawed...and no wonder. The Relics could not possibly respond to such crude methods.
>The Commander sighed.
[CO GENTIANE]: But I'm guessing there were people who didn't agree with that outcome.
>She turned back to look at the map of Tallinn, soon noticing Paradeus was closing in the AR Team and the ODSTs, while the Desert Eagle Team had succesfully secured the Intercontinental Railway gate that could lead the Argo to Paldiski. Opening it in the progress while alerting the KCCO and Paradeus forces in the process. Night was falling and with that the chances that the accursed Epiphyllum could "bloom", thus increase the radiation levels drastically...
>Soon they make visual contact with Anti-Rain as well as 404. Two Dolls, SOPMOD II and UMP9 raise their hands to greet them while RO and M4A1 listen to their idea.
[CO GENTIANE]: Sergeant, can you retrieve the AR Team and the ODST team?

[ST AR-15]: I think it's time you let us in on your secret. I told you before: we're your backing. You no longer have to bear this on your own.
[UMP45]: Ja, you ARE special, but if you let this go on, you will end up getting yourself, your team, and the entirety of Griffin killed. This is the moment of truth, M4A1. This decision may cost you your peaceful status quo, but running away will cost you your the entire future. You think just because that voice disappeared, everything's over? No, this is merely the beginning!
>"Voice"?
[M4A1]: I understand...
>M4A1 proceeds to explain about that "Voice"within her neural cloud: it's in fact an OGAS consciousness born from the Parapluie infection the AR Team had suffered a while ago. It's the reason why she's been capable of withstand electronic warfare from SF or KCCO... while also being more vulnerable to Paradeus anomalies, such as the Nytos or the Isomers. Out of them, only AR-15 knew the full truth.
...That's the gist of it.
[RO365]: So AR-15 knew about this all along?
>ST AR-15 nods.
[SOPMOD II]: I...I still don't quite understand... So now there are two M4s?
[RO365]: To put it simply, there's another neural cloud embedded within M4's neural cloud. It all makes sense now. But why didn't you tell us? Why keep everything to yourself?
[M4A1]: Because I thought this could be a threat to you. I have no idea what exactly OGAS is; I don't even know what I am...
[RO365]: But we were created to protect you.
[M4A1]: But what if I turn into something else?!
[UMP45]: Alright, enough. Let's focus on survival first.
>The leader of 404 makes the AR Team get back to their senses.
[M4A1]: UMP45, can your squadron go support Desert Eagle's team after we're taken to a safe place?
[UMP45]: Natürlich.
[M4A1]: In that case we're moving north and intercept the last Isomer signal, the OGAS inside me told me the Isomers were suffering, I plan to put them to rest, for good.
