The Pusher goes from terrifying to pathetic if you look up an image of a drained British narrowboat canal and realise just how pathetically shallow and easy to stand up in they are.UK canals aren't known for strong currents and almost always are 4 feet deep in the middle, or less. Literally knee-deep near the sides.There's literally nothing stopping the Pusher's victims from simply standing up in shallow water and waiting until he walks away.
You fail to consider the presence of biological films on the floor of the canal, that make the surface slick and hard to gain balance on, especially while contending with panic and injury at the same time. The canal in the UK is the perfect weapon. You don't need to submerge a man's entire height to drown him. Just let him lose his balance, and he will bring his air holes to the water.The canal does all the work, and someone will inevitability come out of nowhere to proclaim the canal is safe, don't worry about the canal.Do you realise you could suddenly go unconscious, fall face-first into a puddle and drown? You could probably roll over on a water bed and drown if your nose is pointy enough.Probably not good since you're the modern incarnation of pinnochio.
