for some reason i was thinking an irl stream wouldn't be all that different from a normal stream, but it actually changes a whole lot. just the fact of getting an unfamiliar camera angle on the two after all this time was hugely refreshing. they're both big hand talkers and you lose out on a lot of their natural expressiveness with the setup they've got at home. at least some of the magic of the early streams probably owes itself to this and their lack of a fixed point of view.
it should have been a lesson of ft and jimmytank already but the twins really shine when out and about interacting with new environments and different people. something that's sorely lacking in the streams right now is a sense of actively identifying with the twins and their habits in contrast to what's going on around them. with fishtank you got to choose to watch the twins, it was an active opting into their sphere of activity in opposition to some other. even with jimmytank and the camping trip you still could see them as one preferred object of focus out of many. a big limitation of the home streams is that there's nothing to compare the twins to, they're too much in their own element and have too little to react to to set themselves up as an alternative to to evoke the same sense of closeness you feel towards them when doing irl stuff.

I agree that more irl streams would benefit them. Hopefully they start doing it before it's too late.
There's only so much they can do as desktop andys cooped up in that little room. IRL content every now and then is good for changing it up.

It is one of the last "classic" games out there imo. In that there wasn't like a solid gameplay loop you always engaged in that never changed. There was the fighting as the core and crunch of the experience but the levels and their objectives changed radically and it was very entertaining. i would take the bashir hate more seriously if you could more clearly define what it is you value about the twins themselves. the most i get from people here is that you find them amusing. i fail to see how the twins engaging in conversation with someone they consider their good friend and going off on a bunch of weird and unexpected tangents with them is inherently less entertaining than watching them play video games you've all already played yourselves.
