No yuri anime coming out. No old yuri anime I haven't watched.
>>25135692Other than the indieslop on YouTube
Have you seen Sayonara Lara though
>>25135692Kimishinu was nice.
Occasionally you might wanna broaden your horizons a bit and consume other kinds of stuff. There are lots of lesbian prose fiction tomes and comics.
>>25135926No I haven't seen it. I've seen almost every yuri anime listed on MAL but that one wasn't listed as yuri on MAL. I might check it out.>>25136206It was honestly way better than I thought it was since I've seen so many dog shit yuri fantasy anime in the recent years. For instance "Roll over and Die" and "The Executioner and Her Way of Life" were both dogshit shows that looked similar initially. >>25136208Yeah probably but it's a huge pain to figure out where to get stuff. I know how to get anime for free but I haven't really spent much time figuring out good places to get manga and At one point I wanted to read all the yuri manga but it was too hard to find some of the stuff. That in addition to the fact that lots of it was untranslated.
>>25136499I stopped writing a paragraph half way through and then forgot to complete it. * I haven't really spent much time figuring out good places to get manga and and literature for free. It seems like a lot of literature piracy websites want you to make an account which I don't want to do for obvious reasons.
>>25136499>The Executioner and Her Way of LifeIt wasn't so bad...I still hope for a comeback of the mc from the first ep in some part of my heart.
>>25136206Simoun is another good anime about girls at war. I liked it more than kimishinu because it explained why the enemy was at war and the world felt like it was a larger place. I liked kimishinu but the restoration magic made it hard to parse when the characters were actually in danger. For instance I didn't know if Lizzy was going to be revived when she reached mimi (like when Sheena got her arm back). It wasn't explained that she would disappear when she died either. I also didn't like that the enemy was never really shown, you have no idea why the enemy is fighting. The world building was also lackluster, you have no idea what the scale of the war is, the only place you know about is the orphanage but it seems unlikely that the orphanage is self sustaining. Even just mentioning what country they are in would have gone a long way. The other problem I had with it was that the anime ended without much progress happening in the story and it focused on a character who had been taking a back seat during the anime. Certain plot points were basically left completely undeveloped. I do like the character, the animation, and the over all themes of the anime. I was excited when the anime wasn't another one of those ones with an "underpowered" protagonist who finds out they are secretly overpowered or becomes overpowered very quickly (eg MHA or Black Clover). Even when Sheena does find out her power it makes sense why she wouldn't have known about it before then and it matches her character well. Most importantly it didn't suddenly make her the most powerful character in the story, and it was hinted at in the previous episodes.
>>25136699I don't remember the anime super well but I'll try to explain what I don't like about it. I didn't like the fakeout introduction only to go straight into doing the exact same thing they were mocking in the first episode. I felt like the anime could have been interesting if the church wasn't comically evil. Initially it felt like there was a meaningful choice on whether to kill someone who is dangerous to your society or to allow them to live because they are innocent. Once it was shown that the church is super corrupt it allows menou to go against them without any guilt. Also the reveal that Akari is orchestrating everything by reversing time really makes the things that happen seem less important because she can reverse almost anything bad that happen to her.
>>25136701>SimounI will accept the recommendation and watch an ep of it before going to sleep today>it explained why the enemy was at war and the world felt like it was a larger place>The world building was also lackluster, you have no idea what the scale of the war is,Since the war is more like a narrative element/tool in kimishinu (at least in the part of the story adapted by the anime, dunno about the manga), it didn't bother me at all, but I get why some people may be annoyed by the lack of context on what's going on in that world.>when she reached mimiWasn't that just a hallucination?>It wasn't explained that she would disappear when she died eitherI'm starting to think that I misinterpreted some things...>the enemy was never really shownOkay, I also didn't like that. There's no heaviness in watching Mimi killing random NPCs.>the anime ended without much progress happening in the story and it focused on a character who had been taking a back seat during the animeTrue... Well, at least we got to actually see Sheena using healing magic on Mimi instead of just practicing it with plants (although you could argue it shouldn't be so easy for a weak student to go to the battlefield like she did)>>25136813I unironically have a fried brain and also don't remember a lot of the anime but it has been shown that the real powerful characters manage to deal with Akari's power without having too many problems, like "character which I don't remember the name number 1" (the sister of the girl who was the daughter of a isekai'ed person) and the master of the real main character, which was using Akari to get to her main objective or something. About the evil church... That's Japan for you! Maybe I shouldn't be defending an anime which I barely remember anything...
>>25137069> Maybe I shouldn't be defending an anime which I barely remember anything...It's fine to have a different opinion on something.
